Notes to myself

Monday, 21 November

1. When you order undies by web shopping, be aware that the guy in those undies on the page you are watching doesn't come together. Nor do I look like him all of the sudden after you buy them. It's not magic. Don't be in a hypnotic state. That's what they try to do with gorgeous guys on their ads. (I bought 5 pairs of new undies that aren't available here in Japan C-in2.....
2. You are not out at work even if you are out to most people you know outside of the office. Don't forget that. You'd be stared at with dirty looks, and your job performance would be evaluated poorly if you forgot that.
(A friend of mine called at work and I said "Oh, he is so hot!" but thankfully we talked in English when no one around me speaks English but still....)
3. Try not to use the word "Super" ("Chou" in Japanese) when you talk about things. You are not a college dude anymore. Be more intelligent even if you are not.
4. Don't wear a floral printed shirt at work even if people say I look good in it. You are already gay enough without it.
5. Finally, don't sleep in the hallway even if you are boozed. Try to make it to bed at least.
(I woke up in the hallway today.... it was deadly freezing this morning...)

Okay, I think potential boyfriends outhere wouldn't date me anymore after reading my confession.... huh. :-) You have a fantastic (is this allowed?) day/night!

LOL You're cute! And this is hardly a list of BAD STUFF anyway. I love C-in2 even though it's so bloody tight. I guess it does push stuff up then...

And what are those words at the end of your post?

Posted by: Will at November 22, 2005 02:06 AM

1. Yeah. I'm always shocked and amazed when I don't look exactly like the underwear models. *sigh*

and

5. And, if you can't make it to the bed, try the bathroom floor ... aaah ... sweet, sweet cool tile floor.

Have Chou-fantabulous Day, Schmoopy! *smooch*

Awww.... shigeki, dont worry too much, chou mukatsuku dane! (i doubt i got this one right either). I think floral print shirts are ok to work, unless they are pink!!!

Please use more fantabulous and/or fabulous words. If not, I will have to stop using WTF, awww, oh my, goat & seriously. Seriously.

YOu have a FANTABULOUS DAY!!!

Shigeki-chama,

I take it C-in2 is the men's equivalent of a push up bra...at least you don't have to deal with underwire pain (I hope)!

Is "sugoku ..." an acceptable substitute for "chou..."? But you are right. We have to watch our habitual expressions. I know I use "I think" "maybe" "perhaps" and "sorry" way more than I did when I first started living in Japan. My friends get annoyed when I use "sorry" too much!

All boozed up and you slept on the hallway floor?! Babe, you need a keeper. Come over here and I'll tuck you in. :)

Hi Will,

Thank you. :-) I am not sure how cute I can be though. :-P Well, some of them are really really bad. :-) But I do it without noticing it sometime. I am in a deep shit situation. hahaha. I know they are bloody tight (oh, I miss Charlie from Lost...) but I like how they feel when I put 'em on. I feel so sexy and slutty at the same time. :-) The words at the end are my name in Japanese. well, Chinese Characters to be exact. :-) You have a fantastic evening!

Hi EnviroBoi,

Hahaha. You had the same experience before??? :-) I think many of us have gone through that anyway. But you see if you are pretty much happy with yourself, that's all it matters. You don't wanna go crazy diet like having small portions of meals every 3 hours. nope nope nope. :p Well, if I slept on the cool floor, I'd be dead. :-) Thanks for the suggestion but I will pass on that. :-) You have a wonderful morning!!

Hi AJ,

hehehe AJ. Aren't you cute??? No, Bokuwa chou mukatsukanai yo! But I appreciate what he said to me to see things subjectively. :-) Well, I have pink floral shirts as well. Black shirts with pink and red flowers even.... so gay... huh. I will definitely use those "f" words but I will keep myself off the routine for awhile. ;-) You have a splendid evening!

Hi GaijinGirl,

Hmmm... it's not as painful as I thought it would be but very very discomforting for sure. I don't care how discomfortable they would get. The looks are more important, damn it. :-) It's so much better than stuffing my pants with socks or something. :-) hmmm.. sugoku? I rarely use that word though... It's just my instinct. A lot of Tokyoites with not so much brain use that word... I am one of them... hahaha. You have a pleasant evening!

Hi Paul,

Oh yeah.... I am a bad boy as always. I know I need a keeper.. especially the one who could undress me or something when I fell asleep. :-) Wink wink. :-) You have a great evening!

Good rules to live by in Japan. People seem to be out at work here. At least at the companies where I was employed. Many had a Gay / Lesbian support group.

The not sleeping in the hall is probably a good rule to live by. Afterall, it imight give people the impression you are homeless or kicked out of the apartment by your lover or rommate.

I have never seen someone wear a printed floral shirt at work unless they were female. It just doesn't seem business like.

Gregg's rule for clothes? Never order undies on the web. Always buy them at the local discount store so you don't have to pay full price. Gregg's second rule is never let your mother buy your underware. On the other hand, the box of boxers mom sent last February for my birthday are first rate and will last me years.

Hmm, floral shirts at work .... Yeah, I suppose that is quite gay. It's so hard deciding what to wear for work though isn't it? I made the mistake of wearing a pinky/purple belt on dress-down day a couple of weeks ago, something which i wouldn't normally think twice about, but the amount of comments I got from people, I certianly won't be wearing that to work again in a hurry ....

You keep a tangerine-colored backup shirt in your desk, and they don't know you're gay?

*giggle*
