Please, stand back.
Wed, 18 April 2007

I had to go and pick up something at my grandmother's. It'd been a very long time since I visited her house as she frequently visits me and my parents. Anyway, according to my mother, I cannot reveal the fact that I quit my job and am jobless because it does make me look bad in a very traditional family like my grandmother's. Oh well... well, technically, I am still employed so it wasn't a lie :-) While fixing tea, I saw this thing. I cannot believe she still has this on the wall. The frame of the drawing is so much more fabulous than the drawing :-( This is the only oil painting I have ever done in my life. It was about 12 years ago. I was taking "Introduction to Painting" and did this. I hate oil painting because it will ruin your shirt under any circumstances. I only did this because it was an assignment in college. I don't remember how many questions I asked during the workshop. I am sure the professor didn't like me very much. So I didn't take a photo of this crap closely because you will notice how sloppy the painting actually is. How smart I am. :-) Placing a distance is good to see the non-fantabulous thing instead of taking a close look :-) This is as if when you are in the situation where looking at the hunky nice dude you saw on the ski slope but he doesn't look that nice when he took off his sunglasses. Just like that :-) Anyway, I have nothing else to report but I wish you a wonderful morning/evening!

I haven't changed much...inside...
Fri, 2 February 2007

This was the photo of the horrible drawing I drew 25 years ago. There was the elementary school's class reunion last month. But I didn't go because I don't like to socialize with some people I haven't seen for a decade. I am sure you try to carry on the conversation and give them a weird smile while you are still not sure whom you are talking to. I was on vacation actually. Anyway, 25 years ago, in our elementary school, there was this event to store things in a vacuumed big atomic bomb shelter looking time capsule... In there, they got our own drawing of ourselves, and messages to ourselves 25 years later. They also had essays written by ourselves what we would be doing 25 years later... My friend kindly took every crappy things of mine from the vacuumed time capsule and gave these to me last night. (He is actually a homo but that's another story) Yes, this is supposed to be me when I was 6. The message to myself now (25 years later from then) was really horrible. "Are you still alive?" God, I was that cool and non-romantic back then? Even though the essay about what I thought I'd be doing 25 years later was very embarrassing, I was able to see "me" in each letter I wrote. Then, I realized "my personality hasn't changed much ever since then". When I looked at these things and talked with my friend about elementary school days, I was embarrassed, felt nostaligic, and happy at the same time. I am older but I am still happy. I hope I will be still happy 25 years later from now (even if I am dead). :-) I hope you are happy and will remain happy, too! This was definitely a weird gift from 25 years ago... Anyway, Have a happy weekend!

My low life...
Tue, 30 January 2007
When I was a secretary, I liked looking at my boss's schedule in the morning to imagine what kind of a fantabulous life he had. Unlike his, my schedule is not fantabulous but I thought I'd share it as this was crazy. My advice to you is don't get too drunk on Monday. Don't empty 6 bottles if there are only three including yourself... two bottles per person.... Besides, I did something really embarrassing in front of people... I will live quietly for the rest of this week...Have a fantabulous day!!

My little brain is draining...
Thu, 6 July 2006
The hosting server service I am subscribing seems to be having problems lately. Whenever I contact them, they never ever ever say "sorry". How fun. By the way, I talked about "this" today, and it seems I am mistakenly in because my art skil is not brilliant obviously by looking at those sketches. (Seriously, I am not proud of them but I thought I'd do this regularly to deliver a non-exciting message in a not-so-digital way). Anyway, I think I was very lucky. :-) I will have to sleep on it. Hard work
Fri, 26 May 2006
Okay, if I said this, I would sound like an alcoholic but I will say this anyway. My drinking habit seems to have changed a little bit... I drink lots these days. So I am trying to cut back for my liver. I came back from the drinking night and I am very sober.... darn. The reason why I am very sober was I had a date. It was so not interesting. The good thing is that I was able to go through that lousy date session without too much alcohol. (3 glasses of whiskey.) The lousy date could have easily made me drink lots. How strong am I. :-) Okie, if it's too small to read, please click the photo as always.Have a fantabulous weekend!

I am doing something very primitive right now... I am so sad. It's the first day of the holiday and all I did was getting boozed, getting frustrated with this, and got boozed again. um.... not now.
Wed, 8 March 2006

This is something I drew last year but I thought this would be perfect for what I am blogging today. When I blogged about my HIV test the other day, I got some suggestions that it would be good to look for someone permanent. But I wonder if having someone permanent would be less risky to get HIV positive. I'd like to disagree if I may... If he fudges around behind my back and if I do it without a condom with this something permanent guy (FYI, I have never done bareback..), that wouldn't be necessarily safe, would it? Don't get me wrong though. I still believe in relationships. I got out of the 8 year relationship last year...surprisingly. It lasted that long... surprisingly. One of my dreams is to be able to wear the perfect wedding ring made out of platinum. This is something I drew to see how my left hand would look like with the ring. I still think I am not a marrying kind but I will see about that. I am not in a hurry. Really. I don't think this something "permanent" is going to happen anytime soon as the current job I have now makes my dream plan impossible. I cannot afford my time for myself even. However, I am not disappointed. I still have hopes. In the mean time, I am going to go online and find a new "friend" to do "nice things" together. Do I sound low? Okay, I might. But I take my responsibilities. I will be a grown up later. Not today. ;-) You have a fantabulous "hump" day.

some sort of telepathy indeed...
Thu, 9 February 2006

I am posting this from the train. WIN card rocks!!! I think it was the first time ever I missed blogging on a weekday.... I was super busy yesterday... ugh.... Anyway, I have a visitor from Europe. He is a security leader over there. Since I work in the same field, we got along very well. Besides, he is very cute. I am SO going to Czech next time... We had lunch and the topic was all about Internet. That was damn good geeky lunch. Then, it hit me. I already mentioned this but I cannot live without internet. Am I addicted to it? I probably am. But if I lost an internet connection, I wouldn't slash my wrist. Somehow, I had three unusual episodes through my blog in one week recently. No details, here. But let's just say I was a little surprised to find out some are not happy with me.I am guessing anonymity plays the major role. Meaning, some of us may not act on internet like they usually do in their real lives. Like I never say something filthy at work or to friends even if I do that at a filthy cruising place.... Unfortunatley(?), since close friends of mine keep visiting, I cannot be something I am not here on this blog. :) Ergo, I wanted to know more about how internet affects people psychologically. I am sure there is something special about it but I don't really know anything about it regardless of myself working as a security administrator. Before becoming too hesitant to keep blogging and terminate my blog, I decided to research a little bit on something. I ordered The Psychology of The Internet. Wow...I had never seen this coming considering I disliked General Psych in college... Now, I hope this will help me get better prepared for unpleasant interaction over internet. So here's my say for today. I want world peace.Anyway, thanks for visiting my site as always and you have a fantabulous day with Internet!

waiting...
Tue, 3 January 2006

Nothing interesting to report. It's still a day off today. I had to have Osechi in the morning with my family. Thank God, it's the last day to have Osechi. I have no idea who invented this tradition but having New Year's Meal for three days in a row isn't fun. Now, I am so ready to get back in a better shape. After that, I rushed to cafe. I forgot I was supposed to meet a friend of mine who just returend from Europe. Well, she is a flight attendant so she gets to go there quite a lot. I was 10 minutes late but she wasn't there. I found out her flight got delayed. So I had to wait there. I should have known as I was one of them before..... But it's better not to plan a date or anything with a flight attendant/ a pilot to meet immediately after the flight. (no offense, Will. but you know how it is.) So I was at cafe and didn't have anything with me to kill my time. So I draw some things on the paper napkin which doesn't really absorb anything well and "what's the point of being called "paper napkins anyway?" sort of napkins. They are not the most brilliant napkins available on this planet for sure. Anyway, if you happen to care to see what I drew, click the photo. Though this is the third napkin as I had a plenty of time. I waited for her for 1 and a half hours which wasn't too bad. While waiting, I saw the most super good looking guy walking his dog. How could he be that pretty? while he was pretty, I am having a bad hair day... huh.... You have a fantabulous Tuesday/ Wednesday!

Not that I suck at it but I'd like to be better at it.... Click the photo if it's hard to read, please. Scribbles in the Netherlands
Sat, 17 December 2005

| 1. | I may look depressed when I walk in Amsterdam. No, I am not. I just try not to step on souvenirs from dogs. I walk like this in Paris and some other European cities, too... |
| 2. | I wish museums were open 24 hours...I spent 4 hours in Van Gogh Museum... |
| 3. | I briefly had lunch with my ex yesterday. I even went to freaking Rotterdam for that (It's not big deal but he should've come here...) Lunch turned to dog's souvenir... oh well. Another cultural difference. |
| 4. | Apparently, I am here in the country of the highest average height in the world. I wish I were 3 inch (7.62cm) taller... |
| 5. | I will upload some photos from the trip tomorrow as I was way too busy yesterday :-) |

Speaking-to-myself notes.
Wed, 14 December 2005

1. Why does Corona beer always come with Lime? Can I not drink without it? Or does it taste worse without it? I have never tried it without lime. huh... 2. A lot of expats left for home for Christmas. Work or rest. Simple. Don't call me directly to get help for the remote access while children are screaming in the back. I am not their butler. If you can't do it, don't bother trying to accesss network. Just drink egg nog (ew...)
3. I am so glad my last name is not "Takeshita" which is a common last name here.
4. Is it me? but many bloggers living in Asia seem to blog their own Post Meridian while people across the ocean seem to do so Ante Meridian . I am so certain there are people who blog the other way round. I know there are exceptions but...
5. I will never order Crème Brûlée Latte at Starbucks again even if it was made by the barista whom I have a crush on. Never. I fell for how "fantabulous" the name was.... It was just an overpriced extra sweetened latte with vanilla....
6. I peeed like more than 6 times today.... Anyway, YOU HAVE A FABULOUS DAY!

If the drawing and the letters were not clumsy, they would have not been called "scribbles". My theme on this blog is "non-exciting" scribbles, you know. Here it is. :-) Click the photo if it's too small, please. It's a beautiful warmer Friday evening here. Notes to myself
Mon, 21 November 2005

1. When you order undies by web shopping, be aware that the guy in those undies on the page you are watching doesn't come together. Nor do I look like him all of the sudden after you buy them. It's not magic. Don't be in a hypnotic state. That's what they try to do with gorgeous guys on their ads. (I bought 5 pairs of new undies that aren't available here in Japan C-in2..... 2. You are not out at work even if you are out to most people you know outside of the office. Don't forget that. You'd be stared at with dirty looks, and your job performance would be evaluated poorly if you forgot that.
(A friend of mine called at work and I said "Oh, he is so hot!" but thankfully we talked in English when no one around me speaks English but still....)
3. Try not to use the word "Super" ("Chou" in Japanese) when you talk about things. You are not a college dude anymore. Be more intelligent even if you are not.
4. Don't wear a floral printed shirt at work even if people say I look good in it. You are already gay enough without it.
5. Finally, don't sleep in the hallway even if you are boozed. Try to make it to bed at least.
(I woke up in the hallway today.... it was deadly freezing this morning...)
Okay, I think potential boyfriends outhere wouldn't date me anymore after reading my confession.... huh. :-) You have a fantastic (is this allowed?) day/night!

Where my money is...
Fri, 14 October 2005

My life is very much about work. In other words, my blog is getting lamer than ever. My brain's too tired so I can't come up with anything new to post. I slept for 3 hours from 3a.m. on Thursday, yesterday. That was the only time I slept for this week. So I only slept 3 hours for the last 6 days. I went to see a doctor earlier today and she prescribed some drugs. I am hoping I will be able to get back on track... The interesting thing is that I don't feel tired and don't fall asleep at all. That's plain weird. Okay, I've done my bag awhile ago. I thought I'd do it again as I have a different bag. However it's very, you know..., queer and snobby. So I thought I'd do my wallet instead. I took everything out of it and realized I have nothing interesting or unusual. click the photo to see what I have in my wallet now if you happen to care. :-) By the way, I don't do cliche, having a condom in it. :-P Because I don't want a condom circle mark on my fabulous leather wallet. You think I have too much money in my wallet but it's not unusual to have this much in cash here in Japan. When I read a guide book for L.A. or some other foreign cities, they always say "Don't bring too much cash!" It's safe to have much cash here? I don't know... Anyway, I hope your thing has been great and you have a fantabulous weekend!

Geeky eyes
Tue, 4 October 2005

I am a computer geek. You already know that. But it doesn't mean I enjoy computers like installing some weird equipments or anything in my private life. As a matter of fact, I am a computer geek who hates computers. I happen to be a geek at work but it doesn't mean I live geeky. (well, I might without noticing it) Computer geeks are supposed to wear pebble-lensed glasses. That's very prejudice. A french language school teacher in Paris when I was taking classes there once said to me "Japanese tourists wear glasses and always take photos. Why do you not wear glasses?" Fudge her!!! I don't wear glasses or contact lenses. I don't look geeky outside. I hide it very well as if I am a normal person. That's right! I am not out. I am in a very dark geeky closet. Luckily, my eyesight is actually pretty good. 2.0 for both eyes meaning.... 20/10 in English. 6/3 in Europe? I forgot.... I was always told by my parents if I read things in darkness, my eyesight would get worse, and I would have to wear glasses eventually. Well, I looked at a lot of naked guys in dirty magazines in bed by holding a flashlight in my left hand when I was a junior high student. Posted by Shigeki at 08:05 PM | Comments (11) | TrackBack (0)

Shoes for Typhoons
Tue, 23 August 2005

When I went into work this morning, I got a text message from a friend of mine who just got back from an European biz trip. Since he works for this sporting goods maker, he gives me old design products that are not in the market anymore. He said he wanted to have lunch with me. As it was extremely slow today at work, I decided to call it a day at 2 p.m. (Yay). He was in Germany for 3 months so it had been awhile since I saw him last. We caught up with everything each of us missed. It was a great lunch time. Then, he gave me these shoes I had my eye on for awhile. He got 5 pairs for free!!! Because these shoes are from last year, he gave me two pairs. It's perfect! I can use one pair as typhoon shoes when it is raining buckets so I don't have to worry about ruining my other shoes. Luckily (?), a typhoon is hitting Japan and it is possibly going to land the Tokyo area on Thursday according to the weather forecast. (Why do they usually hit Tokyo when we commute? Can't they hit Tokyo at night, please?) I am going to wear those :-) Speaking of shoes, you know you usually get to wear them inside the house in the States. I was uncomfortable to wear those for the first 4 weeks when I lived in Portland, OR. I mean you walk on the carpet with shoes on.... I got used to them. But I'd rather take 'em off inside the house. I still feel funny about it but I got used to them. really. However it was when I was a freshman in Kansas. My dorm mate one day climbed up my bed with his shoes on to reach something near the ceiling. I was stunned by his move. I think it was one of the most culture shocks I ever had. I even cried about it in the bathroom for awhile. I got used to sit on the floor and such but please do not step on my bed with shoes on. :-) Happy shoe wearing!

Scribbles...
Fri, 29 July 2005

Hi! How are you doing? I am a little bit drunk and can't think of anything to write here on this blog right now. I guess I am going to talk about something I have. This little notebook goes everywhere I go. I had a fancy notebook last week but I left it at cafe and I immediately went back there but it was either trashed or stolen. As a result, I had to buy another new one which was cheap. 50 Yen. = 40 U.S. cents. = 30 Euro Cents. Anyway, why do I have this? Some people ask me. This is like a scribble notepad that is not important which has temporary schedule info that I haven't copied to my real schedule book. I sometimes write down things I need to remember because my brain is full always. I know I work as a computer geek but I don't own a PDA. That's because it's not common here and I am not a preppy business dude who is extremely busy so this notebook would do my things just fine. Well, I actually prefer this premitive notebook rather than a PDA. nope, I am not an updated IT guy. I sometimes write down unnecessary things or I have this tendency to draw something unconciously while I talk on the phone. So I thought I was going to upload this as no sceret information is written on it. Just click the photo and you will see what I wrote today. I looooove scribbling things after all. Well, it's kinda dull but this is my entry for today. Anyway, you have a pleasant weekend!!! YEY!

My goodies
Sat, 16 July 2005

I had to work this morning and went to my friend's to cool off a little bit. This is the photo of my bag. It's Agnes B bag I love. Then, this weird friend of mine suggested me to do something on my blog. He wanted to see what I had in my bag. That suggestion caught me off guard. I mean I don't have anything interesting in it. As a matter of fact, I am kinda embarrassed that I had to show these to him. He started laying my contents out and took a photo of them. If you click, you get to see what I have in my bag. Okay, I guess my post for today is something weird. My contents in my bag...I assume I am being judged that I am gay. Yes, I am. I so am. But it doesn't mean what I have would make me less of a man. In addition, there is nothing Neo-Japanese as we are so westernized. But two things a little bit more Japanese are Xylish Gum and Japanse Fan? Japanese Fan is kinda for old people but I like it and bought it in an old tradition oriented city awhile back. It comes very handy when it gets too hot. I can cool myself down with it. Xylish gum is a mint based gum. It contains Xylitol which is very popular in Finland. That's what I heard. It improves the health of your teeth. And it has only a few calories. (^_^)V Anyway, here are my items I had in my bag for today. If he asked before hand, I could have put something better than these... Okay, really weird post today... Anyway, Have a happy weekend, guys!
