Late "summer" cafe
Monday, 19 September

It's Monday but a holiday here in Japan. Respect for senior citizens day. There are way too many senior citizens here in Japan. Japan is rapidly aging because of too many homos and straight people without children? I paid a little visit to my grandmother with my baked apple cake. Her talk gets longer day by day. I mean I have no idea how many things she should talk about with me. I am just glad I was able to get out of her place before noon..... I had to work today because I had been really really lazy...and I've gotta finish this thing before I do something else. (^_^)V On my way back, I ran into a friend of mine. It's been kinda hot here today so I only wore a sleeveless shirt, and this friend of mine who is straight thought I was too gay to wear it without any jacket on. Okay, he should get over that "gay" thing as a lot of straight dudes wear it, too... Anyway, we went to this cafe. By the way, this cafe is all "Blue" lights, dishes, coffee cups, wallpaper, everything. Because of their decorations, every customer in there looks pale automatically. We talked and talked. By the by, some friends of mine go "I can't have coffee in the evening because I won't be able to sleep." On the other hand, I drink coffee regularly in the evening but can fall asleep in a minute....My body must be something wrong..... Another by the way, You have a fantabulous week!

No, there's nothing wrong with you...I can drink coffee at will and still fall asleep if I am exhausted. Maybe your friends are really sensitive to caffeine, but I think it's more psychological than anything. They don't complain about chocolate keeping them up, do they? I'm pretty sure chocolate contains a bit of caffeine...
Anyway, I think I will be splitting the long weekend in October between Tokyo and Gunma. I hope you will give me a chance to treat you at the cafe of your choice! ;D

Hey! You forgot it was "Respect for senior citizens day" - isn't that the one day of the year when you shouldn't complain about your grandmother talking too much? :-)
I'm also hysterical on caffeine, by the way. Can't sleep if I've been drinking coffee too late. It's probably just psychological, but what help is there in that? :-)

Hey, be nice to your grandma! If you're not, she might elbow you in the nuts :-P It's not a good idea to piss of old obachans!
It seems strange that your friend would think the sleeveless shirt was 'too gay', since in Japan many fashionable guys do the 'josei teki na dansei' look-- and most of them are totally straight!

I try not to drink too much coffee as it can really keep me awake.... But when I drink it very often, it stops having any effect on me... In short, I think your body can get used to the caffeine.
And on dressing 'too gay' in japan? I don't think there is such a thing! Many people try to stand out... Don't you agree?

Hi Wayne,
Well, it's more like creeepy. :-) Neo-green. that's so kewl. I could feel like one of those insects when I go there then. :-) You have a great day!
HI GaijinGirl,
I think I am too insensitive when it comes to caffeine, I think because I remember I used to take tablets of concentrated caffeine when I had to stay up all night for the exams. :-) So I am not sure if it's all psychological as you know there are people who cannnot fall asleep after drinking coffee you know. You have a wonderful day!
Hi Bjørn,
Hehehe. Thanks for reminding me! How bad I was. :-) But she talks about things longer than ever and I was almost going to pass out or something. :-) I am glad I didn't though. I am pretty sure it's more than being psychological for the cofffee but I have never been sensitive like that. I wish I were. :-) so I could be more sensitive for other things, probably. :-) You have a fantabulous day!
Hi Jon,
THat's right. I should have behaved nicely as always. :-) Otherwise, I might be hit or something. :-) This friend of mine is too backwards, I think. He doesn't like anything "metrosexual" so he says things like that every once in a while. I can be totally striaght you know but he doesn't admit it at all. But then, I am glad I am gay though. :-) I don't wanna be straight at this moment. Maybe, in my next life if there is any. :-) You have a fabulous day!
Hi AJ,
that might be true. If I stop drinking coffee for a year, I could feel the same thing that a friend of mine could feel. But then I don't think I can live without coffee for that long. :-) I know!!! I don
t think I can be that gay by wearing only a sleeveless shirt, right? But this friend is very traditional and conservative so he doesn't really like "metrosexual looking". Well, I could be "too gay" every once in a while but I hide it very well :-) Not that I am trying to though. :-) You have a marvelous day!
