Happiness in the devastating world

Sunday, 20 November

One of the visitors to my site told me it was extremely bothering that I used "fabulous" and "fantabulous" frequently. I am sorry. I like doing that, and my English vocab is limited. I will try not to use it frequently for awhile..... On a different note, I found there was a website x-rated!! linked to my site. But I don't understand Greek at all...I have no idea... By the by, How on earth can you have abs like that? Anyway, It's a little cloudy now... I am here at the cafe and reading newspapers and scribbling. (it's my sickness I bring a laptop everywhere I go) There are so many depressing news out there. Then, I sometimes hear people say "This has got to be the worst time to be live in. pollution, fatal diseases, violence". I heard that on my way here today. Like a person whom you hate (let me rephrase that) don't like, it's easy to find some things you don't like. But the interesting part of all is that it's challenging for you to find some things you like about the person/ the thing you don't like. Some people may not like this present world. But this is the planet we live on. Too many issues around the globe. Some politicians are not aware that they could make the world better. That's the sad part. The happy part of all is that there are many technologies that made our lives easier. Well, you can rephrase it as there are technologies that made ourselves lazier. But I see a lot of things I truly appreciate that people in the past didn't have. Internet is one of them. This may be not the best world to live in. But I 'd like to think still it's a great world to live in. Try to locate what makes you happy and find what you can do to make our world better. please. :-) If you can't right now, please try to do that when you can. :-) Peace!

Oh Sashiburi dayo Shigeki!

You poor thing, please use fabulous and fatabulous as much as you can/want because i think its the cutest thing in the world about your blog. I.e. u use it so earnestly. Here is a quote from ms yoga's diary that explains it further...

"Imagine blogs as houses. Someone throws an open house. You paid a visit, if you like 'em or think their house is gorgeous, you'll spread the words around and definitely visit again when invited or if welcomed. If they or their house are not your cup of tea (jealousy applies), be nice. You don't know when you'll depend your life on them. Disappear queitly and leave. You might once in a while pass by the neighbourhood, you may choose to turn away or say 'hi' nicely and everybody continues to live their lives just fine.

Now, no matter how ugly you think their houses are, you just don't simply (leave your) shit on other people's house (and leave nasty remarks like 'Itwasme, someonefromyourpastlife' or 'Fromoneoftheguestsfromyouropenhousewhothinksyousuckbigtime')"...

you have a fabulous week!

What's wrong with being fantabulous?!

shigeki- i think it's fantabulous that you use fantabulous. please don't stop. -gregg

Shigeki, I too think it's a great world to live in. I may not think that way perhaps if I lost my house to a typhoon or earthquake or lost family in a tsunami or war, but right now I'm just glad everyone I know is healthy and relatively happy. Even though I could do with a bf to complete my world!

And, you're fabulous and you're gay, so you're totally entitled to use that word. Especially since you use it for stuff that actually DESERVES it, not just any common old thing is worthy of being called fantabulous by Shigeki you know. Shigeki's got class.

Shigeki-sama,

That was a fabulously fantabulous message of peace. And believe it or not, I was planning to praise someone I cannot stand...not directly, but to a mutual acquaintance.

I just read about the mall shooter in Tacoma. What is this world coming to?

But you are right. It is up to those of us who care to DO something to make our world a better place, no matter how small our actions may seem to us. People DO notice, and you may be impacting someone else's life in a huge way without even knowing it!

Keep on blogging--never mind the critics! Just be the fantabulous fabulous you that you are! M-U-W-A-H!!!!!!! ;-* v(^o^)v

Hi AJ,

Hisashiburi! (Long time no see :-)
You see I repeatedly use certain words because I have no idea how I can describe things. I am sure it can be bugging some people for sure. I agree. But I try not to use them for a while as I said as it was a little wake up call for me. So I shall not use them for awhile and get back to normal. :-) thanks for your insight! You have a pleasant day!

Hi Paul,

I don't know. Maybe, it's too queer? But I am too queer. :-) You have a good evening!

Hi Gregg,

Thank you. I shall. But I will put these words on hold for awhile as I was suggested not to use them. But I will not stop. After all, I am queer. I cannot live without those words. :-) hehehe. You have a happy morning!

Hi Will,

That's true. If we had some serious problems, we wouldn't think the way we are right now. But we are lucky. We have been able to appreciate happiness every once in a while. :-) That's fucking (oops) great! Thank you for your input!. I shall use these words but I thought I'd stop for awhile. :-) You have a wonderful evening!

Hi GaijinGirl,

Thank you. I think this world has become very complicating than ever. That may be it. But that makes this word more interesting than ever at the same time, I think. :-) And, yes, I will be that "F" still as I want to be. But I will not use them for awhile since I describe things with these a lot! It's time for me to look up Thesaurus. :-) You have a good evening!

Keep using the word Fantabulous, I think it is cute. After reading your blog I found myself using it the other day with one of my co-workers. She gave mea weird look but didn't ask any questions.

Hey there. Just popped in via Larry the Love Lemming's site. First time here, and read back some. I like your posts and your writing style. And if you really want to "remedy" the fantastic/fantabulous situation (which you have no need to because after all it IS your site) I suggest http://www.dictionary.com/. You can click on the thesaurus button and have all kinds of synonyms to broaden your English vocabulary.

But back to the main point -- it's your site. Call it as you see it. Those who are "bothered" don't have to read it.

Have a good day!

Hi Cesar,

Sorry that your comment didn't show up immediately after you left it. It's because it's been filtered as there are way too many junk comments. No hard feelings. really. Isn't it really nice to use that magical word??? I am sure she gave you a weird look but you totally used it in a proper situation. :-) Thanks for stopping by and you have a fantastic day!

Hi Mr. Brian,

Welcome to my site! Thank you very much for your compliment. :-) I blog almost daily so when you are bored, please feel free to stop by!. And thank you very much for your tip! I think I cannot live without thesaurus after all. :-) that's so brilliant. I am not bothered but I respected his input and thought of what he said objectively. I think it's good not to use the frequent word for awhile to come up with some other words. :-) You have a marvelous day!

You're totally right, it's up to everyone to do their bit to make the world better. You're also totally right about the internet; I think it's completely changed the lives of so many people (for the better or worse is debateable, but personally it's changed mine for the better), especially in terms of providing community and support for people. It certainly helped me come to terms with my sexuality, and I'm sure this is true for a lot of kids these days who have grown up with the internet. Not that I'm a kid, mind; 28 and counting!!

Oh yeah, and you can say whatever the hell you want, it's your blog!! Everyone has their own 'trademark' phrases, and those 'f' words are yours!!

I love the Internet because it lets people who otherwise wouldn't connect become friends. I wouldn't even know you existed without it, and I love your blog! (You should say any words you like on your blog, even fantastic - it's YOUR BLOG! I don't think you use those words too much!)
