Autumn Saturday
Saturday, 12 November

I decided to have a cold. Since there isn't anything major today at work, I decided not to work. One of my staff needed my help. He is on his own. I told him what he was supposed to do with detailed instructions and he doesn't really listen to me. I still see one of the systems is down but I will fix the system if he couldn't complete it by tomorrow evening. But I need to enjoy my weekend. It's not my task anyway. Does that make me a bad person? Tokyo is crowded, busy, and big. Too many traffic jams. (Is a traffic jam countable noun?) People say there isnt' much greenery in Tokyo... I hear a lot of bad things from people who are not originally from Tokyo.
Thankfully, I live in the area which is close to two major parks. (Shinjuku Gyoen and Meiji Jingu Gaien)The air is fresh even though it is in the middle of Tokyo. Since I am not going to date that austrian guy, I had brunch with a friend of mine near my house. After 3 glasses of Mimosa (Right, I cannot stop being gay!) at 11a.m., I felt so good. After the snobby ridiculously expensive lunch (though good), we walked around. As it's been warmer than usual, leaves hadn't turned yellow like they were supposed to. But now, I see leaves are turning yellow, and the air is cold. When I took an English literature class, there was one poem and the author used "brown leaves" as a way to imply dead bodies. Autumn can be a sad season but I love autumn. I really enjoyed a long walk with this straight friend even though he didn't even notice my new haircut. It would be perfect if I could have someone to cuddle with. Since I don't have that, and it's chillly (11 degC = 51.8 degF) right now, I will start working on knitting my scarf :-) I wish you a pleasant autumn Saturday!

shigeki- beautiful pictures. It is a very similar day here in Boston with sunshine, fall leaves and weather in the 50s (11 degrees). My quiet little morning is beginning with a cup of hot coffee from dunkin' donuts and a french cruller. A little down scale from your breakfast with Mamosas. I guess I really am not gay :-) -gregg

Good on you for not coming to the rescue. I think it's better for your underling to struggle on his own and learn to deal with his own crises.
You'll definitely have to let me know when you're coming to Hiroshima. My Fujisankei NY news reporter friend introduced me to this posh nouvelle crab cuisine place near Hondori. Yummilicious (sorry for stealing your word, Eboi!).
Viva Mimosa!!!!!!!

Happy Autumn Saturday to you, too :-)
I don't normally update on Saturdays, but since I'm at John's dogsitting and he has a working computer, I thought "what the hell."
My breakfast this morning was two soft-boiled eggs on toast with salsa. Then, I went to my apartment and threw out about 3 garbage bags full of crap. Still more to do. Urgh. Movind sux.
*smooches*
[and, enviroboi forgives you, gaijingirl!]

I like autumn too.. but too bad, I stay in a country does not have 4 seasons. May be you should start date the Auss guy, may be winter time, you will have an extra body heat to warm your cold bed.. :)
Have a great weekend.

GaijinGirl, thanks for the explanation of the...er...chin chin in the last post!
BTW Shigeki don't blame your friend for not noticing your new haircut....str8 guys don't pay attention to these things!
And yes I think traffic jams are countable. On traffic jam, many traffic jams.
Is it unusually warm in Tokyo for autumn? I'm going to Shanghai next week and it's not as cold as I hoped it'd be.

Hi Gregg,
Thanks! I am sure it is very beautiful over there in Boston as well. :-) Coffee and french crullers... wow, that's perfect breakfast. I'd love to have them but the closest donuts place got shut down a year ago. Since then, I haven't had donuts for a long time.... Mimosa sounds so fancy but then, I guess it's a way to save cost for Champagne as Orange Juice is filled up 2/3 of the glass... :-) You have a pleasant Sunday!
Hi GaijinGirl,
Well, I had to go to work earlier today. oh well. :-( I am wondering how they serve crabs. I mean I love them but I prefer lobsters to be honest. :-) Yummilicious is a cool word. :-) I think I'd like to use that some time. :-) I hope you enjoyed the gakuensai (school festival) visit! You have a pleasant evening!
Hi EnviroBoi,
I hope you are not all tired from dogsitting. I know dogs are needy but I am sure he will appreciate all of your hard work some day. Wow, salsa on toast. I've never done that before. But then, I feel really anxious when it comes to Mexican... It sounds delish though. I hope you will get moving thingy done on time so you will be able to go to Philly and lots of sex even. :-) The happy things to do are on your way! Have a pleasant Sunday!
Hi lifebook,
Well, that Austrian guy is kinda out of my picture as I really don't wanna deal with more than I need to. I guess I am not ready. I am better off being single for now even though I thought I wanted to have somebody to spend my life with. Just for now, nope. :-) On the bright side of your not having autumn there, you can still wear a sleeveless shirt... I am very very envious for that! Really. :-) You have a pleasant evening!
Hi Will,
I know straight guys are like that. He never compliments on my clothes and he is way too far from being a metrosexual. :-) But it's alright as long as he is good looking. :-) Thanks for the verification on "traffic jam". :-) Yes, it is unusually warm here in Tokyo. Usually, it goes down to single digit degC at night. Todays high was 17 degC = 62.6 degF, low will be 9 degC = 48.2 degF. As for Shanghai, it's warmer than it is here. 23 degC high, 13 degC low today when I looked it up. So just a long sleeve shirt will do. :-) I know it's cooler than KUL but I hope it won't be dead freezing when you fly there. Safe flying!
