Wonderful photos as always! I suppose I will now have to make a trip to Cambodia myself after seeing those ruins. How did you find the cuisine of this country? Is it similar to Thai (my favorite)?

I agree that it can be a lot of fun to meet strangers on holiday; in both Australia and Japan I met some really interesting people who were also travelling, and it can really help to define the experience that you have in a place. For example, you can be in a really lovely place but if you have no-one to talk to and share it with it can spoil the memory. But of course, sometimes it's actually nicer to be alone as you can create your own moment, like you did in Angkor Thom.
