Meet my new pet.

No, I shoudldn't have done this at work while I was very busy but I needed a break. So I did this. It was damn difficult by looking at the instructions but I made my pet out of 1000 Japanese Yen ($10 = €7.10) bill. Can you see the feet and the tail? I really miss our old 1000 Yen bill as he was better looking and my idol.... Anyway... Voila. :) Meet my new pet.
Happy Fresh Week!!

The beginning of the rainy season :)

Why don't I do something neo-Japanese since I haven't done it recently. The new fresh brand new week has begun :)
Have a wonderful week!!

Being simple is not easy...

How are you all doing? if this site still gets visitors other than spam thingies I am not sure how frequent updates will be on this site but I have no plan to abondon it yet :) This is my first attempt not to upload any image on this post. It occurred to me I always uploaded something along because
  • I am a bad writer and didn't do well in English 101 in college.
  • Nothing interesting to write about so photos were fillers
  • It was just my habit.
Here it is.Just text. Yes, I am freaked out by the idea of no-photos on this post. I also realized that I only updated when I was on the road recently so I thought I'd do something different. Lately, I have been thinking of so many different things. So many different ideas with my little tiny brain. One of which is that "Am I really prepared?" My good friend recently got laid off and it made me think how quick it can go like that! One another occasion made me think I've been spoiled by so much good stuff without realizing that it's definitely a tough time in the world financially. I tend to spend money constantly on what I eat/drink and other things. Maybe more than I should So I decided to be more simple without too many adjustments or hard disciplines. Yes, I still work in fashion even though I am not good at folding clothes and I am encouraged to buy "current" clothes from our shops with deeply corporate discounted rates :) So I guess I might have more clothes than I should but some times, every once in a blue moon, I go to shops and I need to be in the "current" clothes as uniform, you know. (Am I trying to defend myself or come up with a good excuse?). So what have I done so far to be more simple?
  • I walk to work (I used to commute by taxi.) It's now a 25 min walk instead of a 5 min ride. But it's okay.
  • A weekly visit to the library instead of being a compulsive shopper in a book store.(I still buy magazines and books but a lot less and no more dirty magazines)
  • I make coffee and put it in the thing before work instead of stopping by starbucks. well...maybe, I stop by there twice a week as there is a cute barista on my way to work but not cute enough for me to go there everyday.
  • I got rid of 3 computers and bought a new desktop one. So 1 Desktop and 1 Laptop. (I can never be ecological unfortunately because my job is not so. However, I can consolidate to be more earth friendly. I donated three old computers to the NPO and use the current new desktop with virtual machines so I can still study geeky stuff on it for more certificate exams. )
  • Less dining out (7 days a week to 3 days a week maximum!) and home cooking more. (This is actually good if you are careful with ingredients. Healthier. And it's like a good training to be a great husband (I am still hoping I can be.... I saw you laughing, Neron!)

Nope. They are not much but it's a start to live simply. Now don't get me wrong. I am not crazy about ecological stuff because I work in IT which is not really ecological if you look at the big picture. And I am not strictly following "ecology" stuff because I disagree with some of the things they believe in (i still practice what I think it's good). But the changes I made above are to be more simple. no strict cost saving or green movement. I would still enjoy something luxurious from time to time but not so much :) This is a simple adjustment to be more simple without getting out of the comfort zone. :) It's actually fun to come up with some idea like this. For now... What more can I do to be more simple??? oh that's right...
  • No more games to play when seeing a guy
With this, I can save money :) Oh, yes, I am now a long distance foster parent for a year (not forever since I cannot commit that long) (just financial support to the NPO. Don't worry I am not teaching him Philosophy or how to be successful or anything because I am a fuck-up. haha. ) and half of my saving money from things mentioned above goes to him. If he becomes the hot super idol in 10 years, I'd be invited to see his concert via a private jet or something right? hehe. Anyway, being more simple is a lot more difficult than I expected! Wish me luck! Later.
