My first travel in 2008 (Very short)
Sat, 5 January 2008
The date is still the 4th here but it's the 5th. So I treat this post as dated 5th :) Anyway, it's only a weekend trip so I didn't have a lot of time and didn't bring my usual digital camera so this is all I can get so far. I am now relaxing in my hotel room watching TV 2 (duex) and trying to catch the words I know :) Have a wonderful 1st week of Year 2008!!!02:20 AM Travel | Permalink | Comments (9) | (0)

I'm so jealous! I have never been to the Louvre (or even Paris). Looks like a fun weekend.
I have seen David though, and I have to say it was almost a religious experience he was so beautiful. And I am not religious.

Going to Paris for the week-end!!! Howfantastic is that??
It sounds like you had a very relaxing and wonderful time. It's nice that you are so comfortable with yourself that you can do that.
I love to do stuff like that by myself also. Not all the time but once in a while it's refreshing .
Thank you for all your pictures as well.
Another peek into Shigeki's Life's Adventures. :-)

Oh, PLEASE, Shigeki! I'm staring 40 in the face (only about 7 weeks left in my 30s)..."young" and "old" are all relative!!!!!! I prefer to think you are "worldly." (^_^) Muwah!

Wow, I've never known anyone who jets to Paris just to ogle at paintings over the weekend. You are my idol, Shigeki! I came back to Oslo yesterday afternoon and was so surprised to see a package waiting for me. So I did win your Holiday Campaign package! Thank you thank you thank you! I really like that you described the contents of the package, so thoughtful of you. I'm eating the cookies now, they're surprisingly good. :) Can't wait to try the sea urchin pasta sauce. :) Happy 2008!

Nice welcome to 2008!
You might be disappointed by David -- technically flawless, of course, imposing, gorgeous media, but not a very moving or evocative piece of art at all, frankly.
And let me restart, for 2008, a theme from your blog's comments in the past -- it would have been nice to see a photo of you amidst the Parisian splendor.

I love sculptures! And yeah, I crowded around the sculture to get a good pic as well. Was that Josephine's coronation in the painting?

Hi TigerYogiji,
well, i am not really. I just wanted to go there :) yes, I did enjoy the trip. thanks. have a wonderful week!
Hi T.Kevin,
You should totally go there. People there are not as mean as you might imagine :) I'd love to go to Italy for a lot of things but haven't been there coz I chicken out :) Have a wonderful week!
Hi Maggie,
I wish I could stay there longer but :-( It was very nice before starting to work but I feel like it was a long time ago already :) I don't have a lot of money so I cannot do this frequently unfortunately. Have a wonderful week!
Hi Raph,
Well, i don't do it frequently so :) some people do that (like myself 10 years ago ) frequently. You shouldn't be jealous because I am in hell now :) Have a wonderful week!
Hi GaijinGirl,
I guess there are times that I should really think how old I am before acting like a high school student so :) Have a wonderful week!
Hi Mark,
Actually, a lot of pilots and flight attendants do this and I guess my old habit is still haunting me. :( I am glad you got the package but everyone who filled out the form before the deadline received it so it's not a lotto :) I hope you enjoy it! Have a wonderful week!
Hi Steve,
I think my dream is to see that David in an empty hall where nobody is there. I wonder if I can accomodate that. I did admist the Parisian those kids who were trying to steal my thing from my bag :) Have a wonderful week!
Hi Paul,
That's good you do :) Yes, it's the Napoleon's coronation. It's huge! Have a wonderful week!
