Look, Look what I got!!!

Fri, 7 December 2007

My cellular phone was more than 3 years old but didn't replace it because I like a cellular phone that is a "straight bar type" They haven't released anything like that for three years so I waited. From this month, they released something I wanted. It cost me a lot. 45000 Yen = US$404 = 276 Euros. Well, we don't have an iPhone here in Japan but I am okay with it because I feel this is so much better. This is from the "AU Design project" like the previous one I had. The concept for this new cell phone is "As if it is the melted candy in the mouth" I like how it feels against me but I don't rub it like I usually do every morning on something else. This phone comes with a debit card feature so if you have some credit on this cellular phone and put the phone over the ticket gate at the train station, the credit will be deducted from the phone and you don't have to buy a ticket. You can also buy things at convenience stores. But since I always have this "What if I lost my phone?", i don't have a lot of credit :-) Also, it has the 2.8Mbps internet connection with "PC Viewer" so that I can browse the internet with this phone without any stress. It has a camera but every one does recently. And and, it comes with a digital TV and an FM radio!!! I am sure some of you know I don't have a TV in my apartment. Now I do have a TV. I tried it and it looks pretty cool. In this photo, I was watching the national public television's TV show. Yay now I have a TV. :-) Though since I don't watch the TV much, I just use it when I am very bored. :-) Best thing about this cellular phone is the vibration is so strong and if you receive a call and have this phone in your pocket, it's like "oh, don't stop!" :-) if you know what I mean. Okay, my "mom, look look what I got!" moment is over. Thank you :) You have a fantastique weekend I have to work this weekend. damn it

I guess you can blog from your new phone? There was an article in the Washington Post today about how Japanese has become the most common language for blogs (38% to English's 37%), according to Technorati.

1. debit card feature
2. internet connection with "PC Viewer
3. a camera
4. digital TV and an FM radio
5. the vibration is so strong ..........it's like "oh, don't stop!"

Cost........Priceless :-)

Sounds fantastic, like you don't need anything else.

Sorry I haven't been reading lately, and now that I am , I realize what a wonderful
blog I have been missing out on.

Take care Shigeki,
Miss You, Maggie

I read your travel log and yes, you have to lose weight! Now that you have the new phone, I hope my number is there still. If not, I can call you. Are you interested in having Marcel with me? I have a very good bottle of his. If you don't have my number, may I call you? salut!

Wow, it slices, it dices, makes julienne fries... I want one!

ah...what a cool new gadget for yourself this Christmas? Is the flip up phone(dunno what to call that) still popular in Japan? Nokia had a lot of 'candy bar' type phones but I think it may not work with network there.

Very cool! Husbandji and I are in the market to upgrade to new phones, but, we won't be getting anything nearly as cool as yours! :(

P.S. Don't work too hard this weekend!!

Ohhhh, cool! I woould be nervous about something that vibrated like that... could be embarassing pun public places. What is that TV show? The guy is cute!

Ha ha.. you are so not going to use the phone to replace the V thing.. you know what I mean.. :)

It is a nice looking phone.

nice looking phone! I like the candybar types too. No need to flip, slide and all that. Love the FM feature on mine but TV would be nice. I had forgotten that you do not have a tv. I always switch mine on for the noise factor.

Wow, that phone kicks some serious ass. I just got a new phone myself, my mom gave it to me. :)

After being so generous to 40 of your readers for the holidays, I'm glad you decided to be most generous to yourself! It's a well-deserved reward! Enjoy [in all senses of the word (^_~)!]

Hi Steve,

I am so sorry to hear that. Well, to be completely honest, I would like to rub a lot of things. :-P Have a good weekend!

Hi Circuit Boy,

This is supposed to be a non-exciting boring scribble site. :-) BUt thanks. Have a good weekend!

HI Vuboq,

I was able to blog from the previous phone but since I use flash and all, I'd rather do it from my computer. I am old fashinoned :) Have a good weekend!

Hi Maggie,

That's okay that you haven't reading lately. Stop by when you can. No obligation so relax :) Have a good weekend!

HI Jean-Luc,

um... I am very much aware of the fact that I have to lose weight. I do have your phone number on my cell but do you not remember what happened? You ended it. I didn't! If you can refresh your memory, that would be appreciated! :) Have a good weekend!

Hi Jeff,

hahaha. I am sure iphones are fantastic as well so you got that one already :-) Have a good weekend!

HI Sgx,

I had to replace it so it's more like my need than Christmas gift for myself :) Yes, flipping phones are very popular here as well as the "sliding" type. Have a good weekend!

HI Tigeryogiji,

The fact is that a lot of people in your country do not like something too thin like this one is what I realized when it comes to computers and phones. So I guess this wouldn't be popular there? Have a good weekend!

Hi T.Kevin,

It scared the hell out of me when I got the first call and vibrated. I thought I was going to be killed :) The TV show was "Russian Language Lesson Program" by PBS-like station :) So the guy should be a Russian. Have a good weekend!

HI LIfebook,

WEll, I don't have any other things that vibrate :-P So :) Have a good weekend!

HI Tiptup,

Yup. Candybar type :) Though I don't like it or anything. hehehe. TV is a great tool but for my life at the moment, I do not need it much even though I cannot catch up with all the TV topics :) Have a good weekend!

HI Mark,

It's really fabulous. I like it actually. I hope your stay in Manila is fantabulous. Have a good weekend!

Hi GaijinGirl,

WEll, this is not my reward actually. I just had to replace it as the previous one is so old. :) I think I will get myself something pretty for Christmas. Have a good weekend!

I love the fact that you can use it as a debit. That is so cool.

I am not sure why the U.S. is so technological behind. Maybe we will catch up soon.
