Late Autumn/Early Winter Greetings from Tokyo!

Sat, 8 December 2007

On my way to work today (damn it. Tomorrow I will have to work, too), I decided to get up a little early and took a photo of this avenue that is about 10 min walk from my place before it's all gone. It's colder here in Tokyo this year. Ergo, more colors :)

Wow, gorgeous trees! What's the building at the end of the street?

Hi Shigeki.

Thanks for getting up early to take this pic for us despite the fact that you need to work...i presume you were standing in the middle of the road to take this shot...
hope it is not too dangerous.. :))

Wow, I'm with Jeff, those trees are amazing, what kind are they? I can't believe how they are all so straight and tall, going up to those little poiints. And what is that very important-looking building?

What a beautiful picture with so many colours!! It's so nice that you can still see the beauty in things, especially when you have to work on the weekend!
I hope you will have some time off this week to make up for all your hard work.

Take Care,
Hugs and Kisses (Platonic of course) :-)

It's very pretty!

"Today" I feel was more dramatic in capturing the fleeting beauty of the golden leaves, especially the ones already on the ground. Thanks for the exclusive peek! ;-D

Is that the Diet Building at the end of the street? Where's Godzilla when you need him?!! ;)

That looks beautiful. How cold is it? The people in the picture don't look to bundled up.

Hi Jeff,

Yeah, they were. The building you see there is the art museum actually :) Have a great day!

Hi Sgx,

I wanted to capture the moment before it would fade away :) Yup. I was standing in the middle of the crosswalk while it was green :) So no risky business :) Have a great day!

Hi T.Kevin,

They are Gingko trees. The leaf of Gingko is actuallly the symbol of Tokyo Metropolitan area. :) So there are a lot of them here in Tokyo. The building is the art museum. It's not that important :) Have a great day!

HI Maggie,

Yeah, they were very beautiful when I saw them for real as well. I actually had influenza later on that day but I am all better now :) Have a great day!

HI William,

Yay. Have a great day!

Hi GaijinGirl,

:0 The leaves are beautiful especially when you see them through sunlight. They are truly amazing :) Anyway... Have a great day!

HI TigerYogiji,

Nope. Unfortunatley nope. It's an art museum. I don't live near the Diet Building luckily :) Have a great day!

HI Kai,

I think it was like 43 degrees fahrenheit 6 degrees celsius at that time when I took a photo. It was chilly but not as cold as Alaska :) Have a great day!
