I had fantabulous dinner with a workaholic friend of mine last night. It was fantabulous. Anyway, I realized I will start working again but I hope I won't be a workaholic like him. God, how angry workaholics are!! is what I thought during the dinner. Overall, the dinner was good and the view was fantastic but it was an eye-opener for sure. While I am looking forward to working again, there are some things that I am going to miss... Here are some. 1... When I get sleepy, I take a nap whenever. I've been taking a nap almost every day for 7 months. (Except for monk days). I cannot imagine how people can live without taking a nap.
2... If there are things to do but don't feel like doing them, I always procrastinate by saying "This can wait" so I am not spending time efficiently.
3... What I will miss most will be empty department stores/ any shopping places/ the gym in the middle of a weekday. I will have to put up with crowded department stores, the gym, and etc.
4... Have Jobless days made me self-indulgence? ooohhhhh that's so scary. I should spend this month as a transitional period to make myself a more civil person.
But I keep my head up and move on. Have a fantabulous day!
yeah, i miss my mid-afternoon naps. they should have a sleeping room at my place of work. :D
(by the way, just in case you didn't know, i withdrew from the PhD programme.)
Won't you be too rusty?
Hi Shigeki!
Yes, I really miss having my mornings free to go shopping in the empty stores from when I was working a later shift. And while there was less scenery on the Metro during the off hours, it was nice to actually be able to sit down. Now it's rush-hour sardine time again.
Nice to have you blogging again! :-)

I never talk about work specifically with my friends, but they can usually see the stress on my face if it's unusually busy and or hectic. Enjoy the remainder of your free time while you can!
I love going to places during the day when the crowds aren't there! Good luck in your transition! :)
Naps are awesome. And you deserve a lot of them, considering how many nights you didn't sleep much because of the job. :P
working sucks.
*smooches*
Hey SHIG im in Japan / Osaka / Imperial Hotel where are u? staying 2 more hours here.
Wow. That's your view from the restaurant? What a way to dine! Too bad with the angry company, though. I also miss my days off, now that I'm working full-time until my last day end of Nov. I miss sleeping until 2pm, going around the city when the crowds are gone, or just watching dvds at home. Sigh.
Where is the place of the restaurant/hotel?
Looks grand and the view from the top is fantastic.
have a nice day
Yeah, being able to shop and do stuff during off-peak times is so cool, although not when it comes through being unintentionally unemployed, that isn't so nice! Enjoy it while it lasts Shigeki ...
Hi Raph,
So you are working. What do you do? Come to think of it, what happened to your blog? I mean I can still access it but I cannot see any entries.... You have a wonderful week!
HI William,
nope. not yet :-P You have a wonderful week!
Hi TK,
Wow, I didn't know it gets "sardine time" there as well :-( That wouldn't be too fancy. The only good thing about me commuting is that I live in the very central area of Tokyo so I don't have to deal with packed trains :-) It's always empty as the train I ride is outbound :-) You have a wonderful week!
Hi Fashmagslag,
I don't either but since this guy is an engineer as well, we get to be able to understand what we are going through. You know. You have a wonderful week!
HI Kirin,
Oh yeah. I sometimes used to get a day off just for shopping! :-) I am sure I will do that some time :-) You have a wonderful week!
HI Logan,
Oh yes, they are. Thank you very much but my nap days will be over pretty soon. Though I hear the next job is not going to kill me like the last one so I guess I can sleep decently. :-) You have a wonderful week!
Hi Vuboq,
However, it will help you buy pretty things :-) You have a wonderful week!
HI Envy,
You were? The imperial hotel in Osaka was my usual stay when I used to go to Osaka for business! But isn't it a little far from KIX airport? It's a nice hotel though. I am always in Tokyo but too bad that your airlines don't get to fly to Tokyo :-( I hope you will be able to fly to Osaka in the autumn and go to Kyoto. You have a wonderful week!
Hi Mark,
Yes, that was the view from the restaurant. I happen to eat there every other month or so. It's a nice place to relax :-) That's alright I was able to listen to what he had to say and what I should expect at next work :-) Yup. A lot of free time is good but you can buy something pretty :-) You have a wonderful week!
HI SGX,
This restaurant is in Shio-site, and it's in Shiodome City Center It's a nice restaurant for sure. If you come to Tokyo, I can take you there :-) You have a wonderful week!
Hi Tim,
Oh yeah, it's so cool. As you say, it's so uncool if I am unintentionally unemployed. I'd be crying if I were.... You have a wonderful week!
i work as a court registrar. i administer oaths to the witnesses and the jury. i read the indictment to the accused. i fill in warrants of arrest and warrants of committal and have the judge sign them. there are a few other things that i do besides that but those are the things that come to mind.
as for my blog, i'm sorry that you can't read my entries. i had to make it friends-only because this guy that i don't like at all began stalking me through it. if you get a livejournal account, i will most certainly add you to my friends list.
(also, do you happen to have a facebook account?)
