And that's the reason I got dumped after 5 weeks of dating. Well, that was obviously new. Or maybe, he faked it to end this. If he really did fake it, he must be damn good at telling lies. Anyway...
3.... I went out to have wine with my friends. We thought it would be 10,000 Yen for a bottle. It was a bargain considering it was fabulously sensitive aromatic vintage champagne from Champagne, France. It was when we got the check to know it was actually 100,000 Yen = US$833 = 614 Euros. One of my friends said "I thought my heart stopped". Well, it would have been better if it did. If you cannot count how many zeros there are, you are drunk. I'm gonna miss my kidney....

3. Yikes! A friend and I almost made a similar mistake in Italy back when they still used Lira. We were kind of drunk and accidentally gave the bartender a 100,000 Lira note instead of a 10,000 Lira note. He very kindly gave it back and told us maybe we wanted to keep that. All those zeros...

3) I once went drinking with a lawyer in what was meant to be his treat for finishing a project. 5 bottles of champagne later (he left after the first to take a call), the bill cam. It was $550. Plus tip. I hate lawyers (and i'm not much of a fan of champagne either come to think of it.

Nope, That wasn't a french guy. I got dumped by that french guy last December. This was a Japanese guy. That was very nice of the waiter to give it back to you guys. But I agree Italian Lira had too many zeros :-) Now, they use Euro so it's all good :-) You have a great day!
