My Relaxing Night.

So a friend of mine askd me to join and celebrate his career success as his own TV segment will launch from this month. As much as I wanted to join and get to know new people, I haven't recovered yet so I decided to stay home on Friday night. Well, to me, every night is like a Friday night since I don't have to worry about working the following day but drinking a bunch of wine and champagne won't get me any better so I had to bite the bullet and be at home. Well, a friend of mine suggested drinking wine will make my condition better but I highly doubt that. So I grabbed some magazines. Some are geeky. Some others aren't. One of magazines is this Fitness magazine. The title for this edition is "Lose gut in 2 months". Well, I don't have any beer gut but my abs should be better. Since I didn't have much time to work out last year, I am so going to get better abs this year as I don't have to work and I have a plenty of time. The problem is this magazine always picks western guys and girls for models. The cover guy model looks a little creepy... I've seen better & hotter Japanese guys than him.... But anyway, that's just my personal opinion. When I get fantabulous abs in two months, I will report back :-) Wish me luck. Now, I am going to go read Newsweek. What a way to spend Friday night, you said? Well, I couldn't relax at this hour when I was working :-) So this is something new and exciting even though it doesn't look so :-) you have a wonderful weeekend!

Hmm, interesting that this magazine uses only westerners for their models. Do you think these models live in Japan or do you think they're brought in or the photo is taken elsewhere? Yes, please take care of yourself and get fully recovered before you do anything to stress out your body. BTW, what was that yellow thing in the paper cup next to the iced coffee in your last post.

Hmm, Geeky magazines! I get my share as well. Science, computers (well Macs). That is too bad that they pick western guys, and I agree that guy is creepy. Asian guys can have abs at least as 'fantabulous' as western guys... as evidenced by Yul Kwon, and if you saw that jeans ad in my blog. Maybe you should get a nice trainer to help you with your absercises...

Get some rest and feel all better soon. :-)

it's so odd that that magazine would have western models instead of japanese models on their covers. it makes you wonder about what they believe about the japanese in general. but i'll leave the image and beauty politics discussion for another day. :)

the guy on that magazine cover looks creepy probably because of the badly styled hair and the lack of smiling. he's very pretty, in fact.

That guy on the cover doesn'ttherill me either.

P.S. I think that you should take a photo of the fabulous abs once you have improved them! ;P

Hmmmmm, yummy smooth Asian abs always win over whiteguy abs...

I'm very envious of your "holiday" from work. Enjoy the time away from work!!!!

Oh that's the guy from the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, and before that, from Manhunt: the search for America's most gorgeous male model. Whew, long title. Yeah, you can give us a report on your abs 2 months from now. And aren't reports supposed to be supported by visual references? :-) C'mon, Shigeki!!!

Both the man and the woman look a little creepy. Maybe Japanese people like creepy looking westerners?

I'm glad to hear that you are being good to yourself. :-)

I was watching a show on tv the other nite and actors were raving about this exercise program. Apparently you do 50 repetitions of seven exercises geared for the abs.

The Magnificent Seven Bodybuilding Abdominals Training Routine

Oh Steven I thought he looked familiar, what a weird show, the best thing to come out was the guy who later played the President's son on the sadly short-lived show with Geena Davis as the Prez here. She was awesome, but the network screwed the show over.

Hi Lane,

I am sure on a rare occasion, they do use Japanese models but I see much more westerners here. I think they are shot in Japan as I have seen one of those models at my gym. The yellow thing in the paper cup was mustard for my onion rings :-) You have a wonderful week!

Hi T.Kevin,

Oh yes, I read in the geeky magazine that the ice in the north pole will be gone by 2050. That was scary but interesting. I was just lazy not to stick with the work out plan my trainer designed but I am sticking with it now :-) I am hopeful :-) You have a wonderful week!

Hi Raph,

I guess many of us still have a western complex for body image or something. I don't know but it was so back in the last century here :-) I don't like that model at all. But this magazine's models are usually creepy really :-) You have a wonderful week!

Hi TigerYogi,

My question is would you do him if there was an option? :-) I might take a photo when I improve them but I am not sure :-) That could be very narcissistic.... You have a wonderful week!

Hi Steven,

Well, for you, yes. :-) I don't have any strong racial preference so awesome abs are awesome abs :-) Yes, I am still enjoying this holiday. I am not even sure if I ever want to go back to work but ultimately, I might have to.. You have a wonderful week!

Hi Mark,

How do you know this model so much? Wow. I am very impressed at your knowledge. Or were you a groupie of him? :-) I am sure my abs will get better since I don't have an excuse that I would be unable to afford the time. You have a wonderful week!

Hi Gregg,

I am not sure why but this particular magazine tends to have creepy looking guys and girls. Pale looking ones. I am Japanese and I don't like them.. I might be a minority? :-) You have a wonderful week!

Hi Maggie,

Yup, I was :-) 7 different excersices just for abs? wow. :-) 50 repetitions? Wow. I don't think I would like to have "ripped" looking abs so I think I am going to go easy. 4 different excercises that my personal trainer recommended... Thanks for the reference though! You have a wonderful week!

No, Shigeki! I'm not a groupie. Hahaha. I am just a fan of these reality shows. Lol.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Great write-up, I am normal visitor of oneˇ¦s blog, maintain up the nice operate, and It is going to be a regular visitor for a long time.

Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Good website! I truly love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I could be notified when a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your feed which must do the trick! Have a great day!
