Is 5'8" average for Japanese men? I always wondered. I'm 5'10" myself, and I seem to be surrounded by men at work who are taller than me!

5'8" is above average I would guess for Japanese men, am I right? I am 5'10 or so, average for a white guy. At least you got a little accidental thrill for your MRI. Did jr behave? I've never had an MRI... but I bet it is hard to hold still just because you have to. Feeling better now otherwise I hope!

I am 5'8" and consider myself short for a Bostonian. When I go to the movies I feel like a child trying to see over the heads of the adults :-) Your 40 actor guy doen't look very japanese. Maybe he is an imposter ;-)

Hiroshi is very handsome, he looks part caucasian. And being taller than most everyone else where he grew up probably made him the "nail that sticks out".
So when you had your MRI, did the machine make a pounding noise as it was scanning you? Just curious.
