Yeah, I'm not a huge label person anymore, I just like what I like. Maybe APC, but that's it- used to love Diesel, but except for the jeans, it's ugly as hell. It's interesting how different clothing companies have diferent images in other countries- at this point, A&F is mostly popular with upper midle class teenagers in the US. Plenty of gay men wear it, but it looks too young on many of them is kind of weird. It's also how intersting how Uniqlo is kind of trendy in NY, but in Japan is 'where you go to buy socks', lol. I guess branding, marketing and advertising can completely change images, something I know well.

And mmmm, Indian food. I made aloo gobi (potatoes and cauliflower) and baingain bartha (spicy pureed aggplant curry? last ngiht, of course with rice :)

Did you ever come across a Swedish girl working at Bauhaus (accent would be a dead giva away up there I imagine)? A friends sister at least used to work there a few years back. How long did you live there btw?
Funny you say you are a loner, it's not how you come across on this blog.
A&F are completely unknow over here, except by some gay crowdes, but that is only for the models... I got some A&F shirts (dead cheap) in Sri Lanka, and nobody here noticed, big disapointment, but I lived... :-)

I love the airport when I am seeing someone off. I have time to watch the people and the planes. When I am flying, all I'm worried about is catching my flight.

It's interesting about A&F here where I live. You couldn't use it as gaydar because everyone wears it. Guys and girls. I like their hoodie sweatshirts, so comfy and thick.

I've never been to SF but from what I've seen, it's much like here.(Very steep streets downtown).

Have a funtabulous time. :-)

Ah, A&F. It's not as popular here anymore, now it's Hollister with the gay bois and metrosexuals. I will remember Bauhaus, if I ever got to Seattle. Sounds like you are having a nice relaxing trip.

Hi Fashmagslag,

So you used to be? Considering your profession, I guess you have to know what are what. :-) I recently got to know Diesel was Italian... Yup, a different image in a different country. like Burberry is so happening back in Tokyo so Burberry launched a subsidary label for younger people called "Burberry Black Label" for men and Blue label for women! Anyway... you have a wonderful day!

Hi Sven,

Well, when I ordered a thing, I don't ask "what's your name?" but there was a queeny gay guy serving me at the counter when I was there. :-) HOwever, it's a small world :-) I lived there for my junior & senior years in college. So 2 years. :-) I am sorry that people didn't notice your shirt and I am glad you survived that misery! you have a wonderful day!

Hi Maggie,

That's an interesting point of view about the airport actually :-) I don't worry about catching my flight because I have missed too many already and if I did, I'd go "oh well". :-) I have never bought A&F myself so I woulnd't know but since it's like a uniform for gay back there, I don't buy any :-) hahaha. You have a wonderful day!

Hi TK,

Really? So it used to be popular back then. Hollister seems so young to me :-) Yes, You should definitely remember Bauhaus when you go to Seattle. You don't have to know where the first Starbucks shop is :-) You have a wonderful day!

I always used to want to go to Seattle when I was younger. Probably mostly because of the Kurt Cobain connection, but also it always seemed like it was a bit different from the rest of the US, a bit nicer maybe ... dunno why exactly.
