You sound so much more relaxed on this trip.
Isn't it fun to do whatever you want, whenever you want?
Freedom....it's a great feeling. :-)

Have a fantastique week yourself!!!!!

HA! The "getting off" line was very funny. Hope your butt (and thighs) don't hurt too much after your hilly bike tour. Love the pic of the bridge.

I'm not going to say anything about the fact that you are in SF and need a "buttock workout"!

I'm glad that you're enjoying your trip so far! :)

Nice pics!

Chinatown in NY is better, and I'm not just saying that because I live here.... it is larger, has more restaurants, more markets (I buy lots of veggies in chinatown taht I can't get other places), and it is always expanding. Yes, it is dirty, which is also why I like it. Most neighborhoods here are becoming so trendy, but Chinatown here is truly it's own, unique community. If you ever come here, I'll show you around

Enjoy the rest of your trip! Oh, and I find riding buses in Japan confusing for some reason.... when I was in Kamakura in 2005, I was taking a bus back from Hokoku-ji (the bamboo temple) to the station and I didn't understand the system at all....the driver got anoyed and just said 'get off, don't bother paying', lol. I was getting more and more embarassed as the bus was full of school kids who were all staring and laughing

That's one of my fears, getting pooped on by some bird. Whenever there's a flock of them about to take off and fly over me, I run to a different direction. Maybe I can't feed the pigeons in Rome or Venice...

You are brave riding a bike in SF! suonds like you are having fun though. :-)

Hi Maggie,

Do I? I didn't notice :-) I guess I am not "trying" to relax like I told myself to relax when I had a job. That might be it. I just don't try to relax. I just go with whatever comes up. :-) You have a marvelous day!

Hi Steve,

Yeah, I can get off when I want to. I don't have to fake it :-) My butt and thighs are alright. They didn't hurt much after the streatching :-) You have a marvelous day!

Hi TigerYogi,

hahaha. You mentioned/suggested it anyway. :-) I didn't have "that" sort of excercise fortunately/unfortunately. :-) yes, it's been pretty good so far! You have a marvelous day!

Hi Fashmagslag,

Kewl, I hope you know some best restaurants in Chinatown so that I can enjoy what all the fuss is about :-) I hope it's not too scary to walk in that district there though. Even though I eat fish, I don't like fishy smell in the market so as long as I can stay away from it, I will be fine. :-) Yeah, non-downtown Japanese buses are difficult to follow. :-) But I should say lucky you for not paying :-) But boo on that annoyed driver! He shouldn't have been! You have a marvelous day!

Hi Mark,

Yeah, it's really unpleasant if you are hit by it. I have been once. Even though I like eating chicken and other birds, I don't like birds when they are alive. They scare the hell out of me since I saw the Hitchcock's movie. ... You have a marvelous day!

Hi TK,

It was a great ride actually :-) I am sure if I lived in SF and biked regularly, I'd have awesome legs and butt but I guess that's only a dream :-) You have a marvelous day!

There is an Italian restaurant in LIttle Italy that makes the best stuffed food. There is always a wait but it's worth it.

I like China town in NYC better.

Yeah, buses are expecially confusing - with trains at least you can take your time at the station working out what you need to do with tickets and stuff, but with buses you have to get on and take action straight away - and they're all different! I remember being confused in Japan, there were loads of different systems for paying, and it was SO hard to work out where you were sometimes.
