I am finished!!!

This is what I sent at work awhile ago. :-) There is a Japanese saying that "You leave gracefully" so that's what I do even if I hated this work for the last 2 years. I am off to the farewell dinner they will throw. I am so going to get drunk! No more biz trip (yay!). No more luxurious life (boo) but I am happy :-) Have a happy weekend!

Shigeki- let me be the first to congratulate you here on your blog. I hope the future will bring you much happiness and success. -Gregg

Yay! I am very happy for you! I wrote a very cordial note when leaving my hated job back last June too. You never know...

Have a wonderful time off, and of course I hope you will still blog regularly to let us know how you are doing. In the meantime, have a 'fantabulous' weekend recovering from your drunk dinner! What is that miracle hangover cure? ;-)

TK

I'm very happy that you're leaving a place where you were so unhappy too! :)

It's a good idea to leave gracefully as you said. You never know when you might need their help later in your career!

Enjoy that party!! :)

Congradulations Shigeki, may many doors open to you after leaving that job.

"You leave gracefully"
We have a saying here, "don't burn your bridges", which basically means the same thing. (Sometimes things can come back at you and bite you on the ass).

I'm so glad you are happy about this. :-)

Finally!! Good on you and Happy Boozing!! Just don't be like me - I fell over last night (face flat) and now I have bruises on my cheeks!! Not sure how am I ever going to find that partner of mine now!!

Glad you are happy and hope you will find your dream job soon.. this wish is also extend to get your dream "husband" soon. :P

Have a nice break.. and enjoy!!!

Even if you hated the job. your letter sounded you're very sincere and had good times there. It's a well-composed letter. If it were me, it would sound more or like a business-letter. That's just me. :-) Yay for you! Now you can R-E-L-A-X!!! :-)

Good luck on your next endeavour! So what do you have planned?

Congratulations Shigeki and all the best for the future.

Yes, I think it's important to leave on a positive note, even if you don't really feel that way - you'll definitely feel better about it in the long run. So you've got a 2 month break now right? What are you going to do? I bet lots of travelling will be involved!!

Hi Gregg,

Thank you very much! This year is one of the worst times in my life according to my fortunteller but I am still hopeful :-) You have a fantabulous day!

Hi TK,

Thank you very much! I think it's the best that you leave your work gracefully :-) Yup. Since I still have more time, I am sure I will blog daily like I used to last year:-) The miracel hangover cure always works but I don't get to use that much as my liver functions fine :-) You have a fantabulous day!

Hi TigerYogi,

Thank you! yay. Actually, I am gonna have to work next month for just one morning so I guess it was best that I left with a smile :-) You have a fantabulous day!

HI Ian,

Thanks. Well, I didn't drink much. Just 6 glasses of wine. :-( One of the team members got too boozed and started yelling at a fantabulous bar and she should have behaved better since it was the dinner for ME :-( I hope your pretty face is alright :-( You have a fantabulous day!

HI Lifebook,

THanks very much. I am not sure if I can find my dream job. Yet, I am not looking for a job right now :-) You have a fantabulous day!

HI Mark,

Yup, I just translated the Japanese message into English and that was the typical way to say goodbye in Japanese so. :-) But I hope people understood what I menat :-) Yes, I am so relaxing right now :-) YOu have a fantabulous day!

HI Paul,

Thanks very much. Well, there is nothing planned next. Actually, there is one but it won't happen until June :-0 You have a fantabulous day!

HI Sven,

Thankee! Yes, it's definitely spring here even if the air is a little chilly still :-) You have a fantabulous day!

HI Tim,

Yup, I do think so, too. Well, actually, people think it's bad not to have a job and I am on paid vacation by May so I wrote that I'd take a break til then. As a matter of fact, I am going to take a break for more than 2 months :-) Maybe, a half year. Since I don't get paid, I need to learn to save money so not as many trips as I'd like :-( You have a fantaulous day!
