Wow $8 and change is 30% of the consultation and the meds? We usually have a flat 'co-pay' of $20 dollars for the consultation, plus a co-pay for each med prescription of $10-20 depending on if it's a brand name. So it's still pretty inexpensive there. And much less restrictive. We have so many different plans and rules...
Well I am glad your prescriptions are working. I should probably see a dermatologist again too, but I didn't like the last one I went to.
Boring to you but very informative to me. I love to hear about the social and economic differences between countries.
I loved your comment about when the pharmacist is explaining your prescription to you. I'm guilty of the same thing. (nodding my head and just waiting for them to finish so I can go).
That chart with the photo of the pill, the description and the dosage is really handy. Unlike what I was used to, just a horrible scribbling by the doctor for my meds which only the pharmacist (reason still unknown to me) could understand. :-)
I've never been any hospital when I was there..except for the one in my school just a time.Hope you keep your health like me and .. enjoy your everyday!
Ah Shigeki, as said already - not boring. I think that is one of the charming things with your blogging, that you can take somethingvery ordinary and turn it into something else, interesting or funny.
Never fell sick whilst I was living in Tokyo.... :-) The fear of getting the wrong kind of medicine scared my body from falling sick!! :-) Good eh?? I managed to condition my state of mind...Only wish I could apply this to my "social" life :-)
I think we don't want anything complex? Is that why? But 20 dollar flat fees for the consultation isn't too bad at all :-) Seeing a dermatologist is always part of my life and they make your life easier if you have skin conditions :-) I hope you will run into a better one instead! Good luck to ya! You have a wonderful day!
Hi TigerYogi,
Thanks very much. I think everyday stuff is always boring as I see it on a daily basis :-) But I keep blogging as long as I have topics to share :-) You have a wonderful day!
Hi Maggie,
Hahaha. I am glad you are the same when you hear the things about stuff from the pharmacist but then you are an expert so you are more educated than I am. I should probably pay attention to them but then the description of each med is always written!! :-) You have a wonderful day!
Hi Mark,
Yup, it is handy to get to know what you are taking. Also, you can google your med and get other useful info as well :-) So when the meds are not working, you can exactly tell what meds they were. :-) Hand scribbling is always hard :-( But then mine is, too :-) You have a wonderful day!
HI Leigh,
I suppose you are back home already then? huh... But that's good that you weren't a regular visitor to a hospital :-) Because if you were, you would have enjoyed less for your Tokyo college life at a fantabulous college! :-) You have a wonderful day!
Hi Sven,
Thanks very much. I don't turn anything into something else, If I did, I would have been a fantabulous magician already :-) You have a wonderful day!
Hi Ian,
That's good that you didn't feel sick but you could have acted sick when you were crazy working :-) The fear of getting the wrong kind of meds? huh.... I've never felt that before. But you need to have a trusting expert :-) You have a wonderful day!

As always, very interesting!
I always enjoy seeing an "everday" side of a country that the tourbooks never mention! I hope your condition clears up soon!
