"BLUE" Hawaii.

OMG, Shigeki, isn't that the Moana Surfrider? I stayed there with my BF (at the time) several years ago. My trip to Hawaii was kind of blue as well, because I was coming to realize that it wasn't going to work out. My favorite memory of the trip was sitting (alone) at the outside bar in back of the hotel under the banyan tree having a drink while he was shopping with his parents (who supposedly thought we were just friends). Sometimes 'alone time' is good. Sorry your 'friend' was behaving that way. Well too bad I wasn't there, we could have discussed shamisen playing styles. ;-)

What a jerk your friend?? was. He was acting like a spoiled brat. If an old friiend was PAYING for my room and flight , I would definitely be very grateful and treat them as they should be treated. With respect and consideration.

spam on rice ala sushi is wrong on so many levels, i just don't know where to begin. I suppose it started during of after world war ii with rationing on the go...i can't think of any other reason that might have been invented.

i'm sorry your friendship didn't work out. it really sucks that he treated you so poorly. i mean, it's just common courtesy to hang out with the person who's treating you. he's definitely not a good friend.

i know that you want to save that hotel for when you're with someone special, but aren't you special and worth the luxury that hotel has to offer? i think you are.

hahaha. Thanks for the comment on Spam on rice :-) I know it look s so wrong on so many levels but it's not bad. Actually, they have started selling it in Tokyo recently! So I think there are some consumers :-) I am not one of them though. Right, I wanted to make this friendship work but I guess I just gave it up after the several attempts. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
