The intoxicating language... :-)

To be honest, this language sounds a lot sexier than French in my personal opinion. I have no idea why... Anyway, this is my last day here in this city so I will upload something from Amsterdam later this weekend or next week. Until then... Have a fantabulous weekend!!!!

I think German can be very sexy too. Hah, that was nice of the bartender to answer you in English. When we were in Italy and at lest tried to ask things in Italian, people would often be very nice and talk to us in English. People appreciate when tourists at least make an effort I think. What I think is funny is him answering in English, since of course, you are Japanese. Did you speak German with an English accent? He must have thought you were a Japanese-American visitor. ;-)

That beer looks yummy, but the pig is a bit... scary.

shigeki, liebling, cologne, germany is NOT a little outside of tokyo. :P

that pork hock looks really, really yummy! my mouth is actually watering right now just looking at the photo.

enjoy your vacation.

also, see if you can use this sentence while you're in town: Ich will dieses Kleid nicht kaufen weil diese Farbe nicht dunkel genug ist. "i don't want to buy this dress because the colour is not dark enough." it's the only german sentence i know apart from Ich will einen Frosch essen.

I love your sense of wandering this time, so spontaneous! I wish I could do that, with enough money on the card to burn. :-) So you passed by Oslo, Norway, huh? Did you look out the window and see the endless mountains of greens? I want to go to Germany one day, too! Maybe the gay men in Cologne are different from the ones in Berlin? Knut and two of my friends went to Berlin early this year and every gay guy they saw were either in leather or rubber. :-)

That sausage is huge and loooooong!

Have a wonderful time, no matter where you are. :-)

German food. Ack....

shigeki- wow, what a great trip to Germany. Nothing better than sausage and beer with potatoes ;-) I was in Vienna last year and found the architecture dramatic and the food hearty. Have a really nice time. -gregg

Hey, one of my friends actually lives there in COlogne!

Wow really spontaneous!! Hmmm.... that's great! I like a man with some energy!!

Enjoy your weekend!!

German sausage. Yum.... :)

Hi TK,

I guess when I "try" to speak any European language, I get to say things with an american acccent? I don't know. :-) Yes, it is always good to remember few phrases even if you are not competent. :-) The pig was delicious actually :-) You have a fantabulous week!

HI Raph,

hahaha. Well, it's just one flight and one train ride, you know :-) Yup, that pork was seriously heavenly delish! I am sorry but I didn't get to use any Germany sentence at all as many of them I dealt with were very fluent in English :-) Maybe, when I go to Berlin next time :-) You have a fantabulous week!

Hi Mark,
