1... You know you happen to be nice to someone and you think of him/her as a good friend. That's all. But for some reason, that gets mixed up, and the person to whom you are nice thinks you are more than a friend. I hate that happens. It happened to me yesterday and oh, that totally made me feel uncomfy. That's so misleading.... I hope he gets a hint.2... It's been unusually warmer here in Tokyo even though it's supposed to be chilly by now. However, we are supposed to wear something autumn. It was very warm today but you barely see people wearing short sleeve shirts today. Why? Because we happen to follow some unwritten rule. I have no idea who invented this unwritten rule but if you wear something summer right now, you look so stupid. This has to change especially if we have to deal with the global warming effect.
3... Even though it was warm today, I had very nice sophisticated autumn Japanese lunch shown in the photo. So at least this lets us know it's supposed to be very autumn by now. I couldn't put the second photo in the post but THIS is the seasonal speciality. This is called "Matsutake". A very expensive mushroom. You can easily imagine what it totally looks like. But I don't say "Look! I am giving a great head and deep throating even!" in the middle of the restaurant. I still have moral.
You have a fantabulous week!
Is the "Matsutake" a mushroom soup or just a mushroom in a sauce of some kind?
1) Sometimes, even saying it right out won't do. "Why don't you give me a chance?!"
2) For some reason I always wear l/s shirts. Perhaps it's the scrawny biceps.
3) Mutant Shiitake?
1) Situations like that can be uncomfortable. I hope that it works out!!
2) That doesn't seem fair. I know over here that there are no fashion rules anymore! I'll see people in shorts even though it's below 40 degress Farenheit, and in the middle of summer people will have hooded sweatshirts on!
3) Leave it to you to order that kind of soup! ;P
1) well, that's difficult. i hope he doesn't get too upset when he finds out that you're not interested.
2) at this moment (9:25am), it's 6ºC. some people will probably be wearing t-shirts outside right now. or they would be wearing shorts, but a thick jacket.
3) i think i saw some matsutake mushrooms somewhere in public once. either i saw a picture of them or i saw the actual thing. in any case, i was so scandalised because my dirty mind told me what they looked like. (^__^)
Well, I'm sure having a guy fall for you can't be as awkward as having a girl fall for you, especially since you seem to be the manly batting-cage-going type of gay guy (it's hard for some of us to tell!!!!!!). I'm sure it's happened before, hasn't it? Maggie's not alone in wishing you were straight--you are waaaaay nicer and more considerate than the men in my life! (^_^)
1. Blame it on your undeniable charm and oozing sex appeal.
2. The chills came late here in Oslo, too. And somehow, here, you have to dress the part in the right season. And I am one wayward guy on that one.
3. Now I could imagine you when you do that, Shigeki. Thanks for the vivid, graphic description. Hahaha!
so it's the season of pervy mushrooms! your lunch looks sooo good! argh! I didn't even have lunch today. T-T
1) That is an awkward situation. I have had that happen to me a number of times and it makes a possible friendship, impossible. :-(
2) Japan must be very strict in regards to style. I'm with Hanuman, in Canada people wear whatever they want, when they want. I have seen shorts in winter on people who are running. If the sun is shining, in any season, who knows what you will see on the street. :-) And.........no one judges. Whatever floats your boat..
3) I had to do a double take on that one. haha
PS I love ALL mushrooms and that one looks, *very appetizing*. :-)
So, is there a line like, "Is that a matsutake in your or are you happy to see me?" in Japan?
Daiei had them last year selling for $67 a pound. A friend from Japan wonders if they were imported from some other asian country. let's see if Donki will bring them in.

Oops, I forgot to put the word "pocket" I'm sure you know where that goes... That's what I get for not previewing. Ugh!
Hi James,
The most important thing about this kind of mushrooms is "aroma". The one in the photo is in the Japanese non-sweet pudding (I have no idea how it should be translated). It can be in a soup as well. :-) You have a fantabulous Tuesday!
Hi William,
I have no idea if I sent any misleading signals. As far as I know, I didn't. You always wear long sleeve shirts? huh. That's nice actually. :-) It's a well known autumn mushroom actually. :-) You have a fantabulous Tuesday!
Hi Hanuman1960,
Yeah, it is very uncomfy. I try not to deal with him and put a distance between us for awhile. If I see a hunky guy wearing shorts in the middle of summer, I'd be happy to warm him up with my hands. :-) You have a fantabulous Tuesday!
Hi Raph,
Where did your blog go? I decided not to take that route and leave it as it is by not seeing him for awhile. :-) Wearing only t-shirts outside? wow, that's brutal thoug nipples are seen. That's good. :-) I am sure almost everybody thinks of something when s/he sees it but nobody really says that. :-) You have a fantabulous Tuesday!
Hi GaijinGirl,
Well, actually, having a girl fall for me did happen to me several times. Wow, that was uncomfy. But I quickly play the "I am a homo" card when it happens. I don't wanna deal with any intimate thingies with them. But I am not a rugged deep voice tone hunk either. :-) So they should get a hint. I cannot imagine myself being straight. I can never be converted. :-) You have a fantabulous Tuesday!
Hi Mark,
What sex appeal? I don't have that at all... You know I'd love to become one of those guys who are only about sex! Maybe, next life. :-( That's so nice that you get to use your birthday present scarf finally. :-) I'd sweat a lot if I used it right now. You have a fantabulous Tuesday!
Hi Tiptup,
hahaha. Nobody really says that at all :-) I am sorry you missed lunch!! Get your strength! I'd die if I skipped one. You have a fantabulous Tuesday!
Hi Maggie,
I know that's really awkward and something we don't want at all. How can it be mislead? huh... I am not sure if Japan is strict but i guess there are certain unwritten rules. I barely see people wearing short sleeve shirts even though it's another warm day today. Well, I do see some but that's about it. Yup, those mushrooms are so happening right now. :-) You have a fantabulous Tuesday!
Hi LaneO,
I highly doubt if there is anything like that. :-) I didn't even know those can be sold by pound. :-) But it would be really interesting to have one of those in hawaii. The autumn flavor in the summer. :-) You have a fantabulous Tuesday!
i deleted my blog because i was spending far too much time on it.
Good write-up, Iˇ¦m normal visitor of oneˇ¦s blog, maintain up the excellent operate, and It's going to be a regular visitor for a lengthy time.
Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.
Hey, you used to write fantastic, but the last few posts have been kinda boringˇK I miss your super writings. Past few posts are just a little out of track! come on!
Wow! This can be one particular of the most useful blogs We have ever arrive across on this subject. Actually Excellent. I'm also a specialist in this topic so I can understand your effort.
