A relaxing day in a relaxing city.

So I am here in Tokyo as usual just like before I left for Boston. I just got out of the dentist place and having a quiet time here at a local cafe watching people go by. This is like a very nice treatment after the assignment in Massachusetts. Don't get me wrong. I truly think Massachusetts is fantastic if it is not for an intense technical training session. I am very thankful I am back here. Though I am so not looking forward to going back to work as I haven't worked in the Tokyo office for quite some time. Anyway, I will worry about that tomorrow. You have a fantabulous hump day!

Okaeri! Well, you know what I mean even I'm not there. Ooh Knob Creek, I'm not a drinker but I really enjoy the taste of it, smooth and the aftertaste is sweet. They sell it here if you can't find it. Not that you need this info... Daiei has officially been re-branded as Don Quijote here and although they say it's not set up like the stores in Japan, it looks like a jungle/circus in there. Sorry, I just had to rant a little to someone familiar with them. Thanks for sharing your trip!

On behalf of Toyko. welcome home. :-)

Glad you're home safe.

Only a fingerprint for US security? I got body searched last time I left the US :)

I would so like to visit Japan. Maybe this winter...

steve

It's always great to go back home, especially after a business trip. Home just seems to lift all worries away.

I love going back to my own bed. It would be better if someone was there waiting for me but oh well.

Thanks for the virtual trip, Shigeki! I don't think I would be able to go to San Francisco in 7 years or so. Well, not until I am still a Philippine-passport holder. Getting a visa is like finding a needle in a haystack. Have a great week back in Tokyo!

Hm. Knob Creek is whiskey - if you want I can send you some Bourbon. Knob Creek is fair, but not nearly as good as Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace, or Maker's Mark. I'll have to send you some sometime.

And a Suck-Blow Party?? SHIGEKI!! I'm shocked!! (Well, not really) ;0)

Have a great week!

I had a feeling you were in Natick before you told us, but I thought it was just me and my thing. I'm not always right.

The one thing I did feel sad about for you was in that Walmart parking lot alone.
Any other parking lot................
Oh well, you're home now and all is right with, Somewhere In This World. :-)

Getting arrested for smoking in the bathroom? That's pretty sad. What about those people who participate in The Mile High Club? Would they be arrested too? :-)
Haha!! You'll have to find out sometime.........

Happy Thursday!!

KNOB Creek? *giggle* Sorry--immature pervy pun. I blame it on the cold medicine. I apologize for ever saying I could never live in Tokyo...it's so much more relaxing compared to L.A. or NYC! I am very thankful for your photos and your stories...I don't feel so far away from Japan when I visit your blog. MUWAH!

Hi LaneO,

Thank you very much! Yeah, the taste was so great. :-) I am glad to report that it is sold here with import tax. It was almost doubled but I bought it anyway. :-) That's too sad that Daiei was remodeled and turned into Don Quijote because Don Quijote has a bad taste for decorations and all... :-( You have a fantabulous Thursday!

Hi Maggie,

Thank you very much! You have a fantabulous Thursday!

HI Steve,

Thanks very much. I hope you enjoyed your body search but I had never been body searched by a hot TSA agent. He told me to undo my buttons on my pants but that happens to everybody, right? The best time to visit Japan is Spring. Cherry blossoms, remember? Yup, this will be an interesting country to visit for sure. I highly recommend it! You have a fantabulous Thursday!

Hi Cesar,

OH yeah. I am so grateful that I was able to come back here and not deal with English at all. They can understand me very well. :-) Well, at this point, I'd love to sleep alone without worrying "when to do that" "should I touch him now?" stuff. I think I got too comfy. :-) You have a fantabulous Thursday!

HI Mark,

No problem at all. That's too sad that you guys have to have a visa to get in there. :-( But from what you commented, are you planning to change your nationality of the passport from the Phillippines to Norway? :-) Anyway, I hope you will be able to visit San Francisco some day! You have a fantabulous Thursday!

Hi Jason,

huh... I was presented as Knob Creek was Bourbon Whiskey... huh.. Anyway, I like the fact it's 100 proof. That's what it all counts. :-) Thanks for being so generous but I'd love to taste those you mentioned at each distillery actually. :-)And importing adult beverages cost a lot here. :-( Yup, Suck Blow stuff but that only happens on Thursdays. I only got the ticket for it. :-) You have a fantabulous Thursday!

Hi Maggie,

yeah, I guess having stuff in the parking lot was not my favorite thing to do on this planet but I managed. :-) I am not sure about the mile high club policy. I don't think I'd like to find that out but at where I work, we didn't even bother as long as the seatbelt sign was off. :-) You have a fantabulous Thursday!

Hi GaijinGirl,

Isn't that weird that Tokyo is a huge city, yet, it's still relaxing. Isn't it sad that Tokyo is a huge city but the homo district is so small and limited? Anyway.... I don't do a lot of Neo-Tokyo but I am glad you find this blog good. :-) Yup, Tokyo is pretty much relaxing. That's so weird. :-) So vacationing in Tokyo does sound right after all. You have a fantabulous Thursday!

Shigeki-san, was that the kaiseke set on United? It looks great! But don't you think Chadonnay tastes funny with wasabi? Hope you had time at Blow Buddies.. I love getting my hair done there.. w

Interesting point, though I'm sure everyone would agree.

I was just searching for this info for a while. After six hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your web site. I wonder what's the lack of Google strategy that do not rank this type of informative websites in top of the list. Generally the top websites are full of garbage.

I would like to thnkx for the efforts you've put in writing this web site. I'm hoping the same high-grade site post from you in the upcoming as well. In fact your creative writing skills has inspired me to get my own site now. Actually the blogging is spreading its wings fast. Your write up is a great example of it.
