My little happy dinner.

I think I got over the jet lag a few days ago so that's not it. But I go to bed at midnight and get up at 4 in the morning like a grandpa. huh... I didn't expect the technical training would be this long and packed. As you have probably noticed, being in the suburb area is not my favorite thing to do. Anyway, the gate security person told me about this fantabulous seafood restaurant because she went "You've gotta eat seafood in New England even if you are from the country of Sushi." She even yelled at me in a good way. So, I wanted to have seafood at the restaurant she recommended. It was packed and they told me I had to wait for 30 mins to get in. I didn't want the seafood that bad. Then, I went to TGI Friday across the street. It was packed there, too. I pretty much gave up on having dinner at a restaurant when I hit Olive Garden. I mean having Friday dinner at Olive Garden ALONE? nope. That's so sad. Therefore, my dinner for yesterday was this. My favorite American fast food. Since I was so starving and didn't wanna wait, I even had it in my rental car that is not covered by my corporate account. I had it in the Wallmart parking lot when it was deadly dark... While I wanted to enjoy nice dinner at a great place in the city, this made me feel happy even though I am almost certain this could look like the most pathetic dinner on Friday to anybody. My little happy moment in the suburb. Though I am so ready to go back home... You have a fantabulous weekend with decent meals!

Subway Melt! I haven't eaten in Subway for a loooooooong time, but it sure was one mf omy favorite sandwich places. Then I oughta rekindle my fling with Subway soon, I saw some shops here in Oslo.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it Shigeki-san, but how sad...... :(

Although if I had to choose between TGI Fridays and the Olive Garden, I'd have picked Subway too!

I eat alone in my car while parked in parking lots ALL THE TIME. Don't feel pathetic. Or if you do, feel sorry for me too. I mean, I do that at least once a week. At least.

I've gotten into the habit of eating in my car at school just so I won't be bothered during lunch. Sometimes you have to have that solitude.

It's not pathetic. By any means.

I think I would have chosen Subway too instead of eating alone in either of those places.

You're fabulous, Shigeki and certainly established enough to eat alone :)

Anyway, you wake up at 4/!

Alone on Friday night?? Send me an economy ticket and I will have dinner with you!! :-)

Well the last time I had subway was almost a year ago and I don't miss them! Give me Japanese food and noodles any time!

I hope you get home soon. :-)

I've never been, but seafood in New England is supposed to be good, as long as it's locally caught ... I must admit I do like Subway, especially when I'm drunk .... great stuff!

Hi NV,

Thank you very much but there aren't many happy moments here... huh. You have a fantabulous week!

Hi Mark,

I think I have regular cravings for subway. When I have limited access to variety of meals like now, I have more cravings. God, I've gotta locate the nearest subway here. :-) You have a fantabulous week!

Hi Hanuman1960,

I know it's sad. It was so sad. :-) Oh, I did have a lonely meal at TGI Fridays the other day though. :-) It was so sad... huh... I am so surprised that I haven't done anything bad to overcome this. I am a good boy. :-) You have a fantabulous week!

Hi Goblinbox,

You do? that's a great news because I felt kinda weird doing that. :-) once a week? kewl. I think I will do it daily for the rest of my stay but then I wonder how it's pictured by somebody else. :-) You have a fantabulous week!

Hi Jason,

really? That's interesting. I don't know it's just too awkward and new to me right now at the moment but I am sure I will get used to it. :-) Good, it's not pathetic but I feel funny. :-) You have a fantabulous week!

Hi TK,

Well, I did eat alone at TGI Fridays the other day actually. :-) How sad can it get? hahaha. You have a fantabulous week!

Hi Paul,

Well, I don't mind eating alone as I do that all the time but had not done that in the car. :-) Yup, I feel like a granpa. :-) You have a fantabulous week!

Hi Ian,

Yup, alone on Friday night. Well, alone all the time actually. But that's alright. Thank you very much for showing off great selections of food over there in Tokyo. :-) I miss Tokyo so much. Japanese can be easily had there!! You should be very lucky! You have a fantabulous week!

Hi Maggie,

I know! I do hope that, too! You have a fantabulous week!

Hi Tim,

Yup, I hear it's good but I haven't witnessed it yet. I have to get myself seafood pretty soon. You have subway when you are drunk? huh... that's new. You have a fantabulous week!
