5...I happen to speak to myself a lot when I go on an international biz trip. Like "okay, I am going to the bathroom to make #2." I am glad nobody understands me when I speak Japanese. :-) For the record, I don't say "Fudge you" to this not-so nice person even if I say that in my head...

I have a japanese language buddy that mutters some things in japanese under his breath... one of them sounds like 'nandaro' i'm not entirely sure if that is what I am hearing, if that's what he's saying or what the hell it means. now of course I will forever suspect that it means 'i'm going to go have a poo'.

Shigeki- I wear pink shirts, so that is probably not the reason people are staring at you. I would say that Bostonians are not conservative when it comes to dress. They are very casual. I suspect they are staring at you because you are nicely dressed and look friendly. By the way, the phone number I left is a regular number you can call from any phone (hence the 617 area code for Boston.)
