I love the picture post...especially the ones about food.

It's weird that it's so hot and humid even though the latitude is higher than Tokyo's! It's like the kind of weather we have everyday in KL.

I really admire the Japanese attention to detail--like using glass bowls during summer. How anal is that?!

Okagesama de, I don't miss Japan as much as I thought I would, but without your blog, I would be bleu!!!!!

I didn't realize how much I missed Trader Joe's...my sis just took me there. $72 later, I am in heaven with an assortment of fresh juices, fruit, dried nuts, salads, goat cheese stuffed portabello mushrooms, etc., etc. Anyway, thanks for the photos of Ishikawa. Mou, natsukashiku natta... (; _ ;)

Wow, thank you for this little food trip. Those shrimp look really delicious, I don't know if they are as sweet as the shrimp we have here in Oslo, sold fresh every morning by the quay, but I'm sure they are fantastic, too. I like sake, but not too much since I have low tolerance for anything alcoholic. I wish I had your prowess! :-)

Alcohol from a vending machine. Ahhhh.... Paradise.

And no, I'm not from Amsterdam. Singapore actually.

I am just picturing you staggering back to the server closet, all boozed up on sakI, then dancing around with your iPod! ;-)

Hi Hanuma1960,

Yes, it was all fantabulous. :-) I think they are trying to change it for under 20 (the legal age for adult beverages) though. They are trying to release the new vending machine not to let these children buy any booze. You have a fantabulous day!

HI Cesar,

I love food here in Kaga very much. :-) It's all fantabulous but a little expensive than usual meals. :-( You have a fantabulous day!

Hi Will,

I know and it gets really really cold here in Kanazawa in winter. A lot of snow. I think Tokyo is milder conpared wit that. :-) Yes, we are very anal in some areas. :-) You have a fantabulous day!

Hi GaijinGirl,

I don't necessarily talk about Japan all the time but some times. :-) I always realize that I reallly like this country even though there are so many conservative thingies. I think things are too conservative because we still keep the traditions that we appreciate. huh... I realize that here in this traditional city. You have a fantabulous day!

Hi Mark,

I am glad you found it interesting. :-) You knwo what? Since we consume so much fish, we import smelt, herrings, mackerel from Norway. I love mackerel from Norway very much but haven't had any shrimps from your country. Sake goes alone very well with shrimps. :-) You have a fantabulous day!

HI Flannery,

Yes, alcohol from a vending machine. :-) We have those a lot, I guess. I am sorry your IP information told me that so I was a little excited! You have a fantabulous day!

Hi Hafiz Hector,

Who's Miyasako? The sake here is fantabulous. I think I had too much on Sunday so I had a big headache yesterday actually... You have a fantabulous day!

HI Ian,

hahaha, my suit case is not huge enough to pack a gym bunnie, dude. :-) Even though the work is kinda tiring, I do really enjoy every moment of being here in Kanazawa. Yes, you MUST stop by this fantabulous traditional city when you travel! You have a fantabulous day!

Hi T.Kevin,

I wasn't too boozed to do anything stupid but yet, I did dance to the song I listened to from the ipod. :-) You have a fatnabulous day!
