No hard feelings, darling.

By the way, thanks to one of our intelligent visitors, Maggie! Thanks for the website. I so LOVE HIM Anyway...the title says no hard feelings. Really. I am sure there are a lot of good things in this city but I don't happen to see them.08:33 PM Flash, Travel | Permalink | Comments (12) | (0)

I totally agree with your comparison of the Japanese vs. French rail system. When I was in Paris trying to catch the train to Strasbourg, the bitch at the information window said, "No English!" and slammed the window shut because I dared to interrupt her gossip session with her co-worker. Whatthef*ckever. I am happy to report that the people in Strasbourg were much, much friendlier!

LOL you really love Tokyo, we know that. But what about the new apartment? You haven't told us about that,

You make Tokyo sound so great!

I suspect that the drivers from Nagoya must have gotten their driver's licenses in Massachusetts! Because people here drive like that all the time! :)

Don't trim your hair, Shigeki! It's sexy to have some lil hair in the right places ;-) I'll miss your posts while I'm away, but I will try to use the Internet while there. See ya soon!

Thanks for the geography lesson :)

Hi Shigeki, I'm really happy that you like the site. I'm also pleased that you think that I am so intelligent! That's a fantastic compliment but I really just have an uncanny memory. It can be a pain in the ass sometimes though because when I want to use the excuse " I forgot" no one believes me. It's a blessing and a curse!!
BTW, I love your geography lessons and popular local foods in different cities of Japan, as I've never been there. :-D

everywhere i've lived the drives have been less than stellar...like calgary during a snow/ice storm and people travelling at full speed on the freeways wondering why their car ended up off the road...or here where there are farmers who insist on being in the wrong lane, then changing lanes, backing up and taking the exit, realize they're actually in the wrong exit and drive around meridians and against lights to get to the place they were in to begin with. a very long, convoluded way of saying that they're crappy drivers.
the picture of the guy...i think i have more visible body hair than he does. there's something wrong with that.

I've also noticed the wide boulevards of Nagoya. Do you think they have anything to do with the fact that the city houses several of Japans car companies?

love the pictures! and love the bitchiness even more!

TGV or the Shinkasen?? I have yet to get myself onto a Shinkasen. Hope to be in Kyoto in May and will definitely use the Shinkasen. After the trip, I should be able to provide you a comparison!
Tokyo looks grey and dull! Have been away for a week now and the weather doesn't seem too good. Anyway. I'm glad to be down under for a while - where the weather is sill relatively stable.
Hate it when I do not have access to the interne!!
PS - Like your watch! Cool....

Hi GaijinGirl,
Well, I am not against French but sometimes it's beyond my understanding.... I like Japanese rail system very much because they are prompt and accurate. :-) I think that's something I should be very proud... You have a good day!
Hi Will,
Oh yes, I really love Tokyo. :-) My new apartment? Since my contract with the current one will end soon, I am thinking of getting a new more fabulous apartment. Haven't had any luck yet. I will see. You have a good day!
Hi Paul,
Well, Tokyo IS great, Paul. :-) You have a great!
Hi Hanuman,
Hahaha. I've heard about drivers in Boston. I always take a limo service when I have to go to Boston on a biz trip but I might try to rent a car next time when I am there to experience that. :-) You have a great day!
Hi Mark,
Well, a lot of people misunderstand asian people should be hairless or something... (-_-) so I thought I'd just bring it up. I hope you have a great vacation there. I am so jealous. I really am! I miss HK!!! You have a good journey!
Hi Steve,
I know it's not useful info but since I live here I thought I'd share it. :-) You have a great day!
Hi Maggie,
Oh yeah, I was loving it! Well, you seem to know a lot of things. I was impressed when you explained that tropical bird in Hawaii. I am sorry it's not really an exciting post but I thought I'd share as that was what I did on that day. you have a great day!
Hi Naomi,
Wow, that's totally brutal. I drive like a grandma when it's icy and snowing.... I think Tokyoites are not bad at all about following the rules. More like there are non-hot police officers everywhere to get us a ticket whenever there is a chance. Darn. You have a great day!
Hi Aro,
I think they are trying to be the capital city of Japan by taking over Tokyo. They've been saying that for ages. The urban development is their highest priority. That may be why streets are so wide there in addition to bad drivers. :-) Have a great day!
Hi AJ,
Thanks veyr much but was I really bitchy? huh... I didn't notice. :-) YOu have a great day!
Hi Ian,
Definitely Shinkansen, darn it. :-) Well, you don't have to compare the two as I strongly believe in Shinkansen. Tokyo looks DULL?? How could you say that? It's not dull. It's fantabulous even if it's gloomy:-) I am glad you are enjoying your vacation there. Have a great day.
