Free Import!
Wed, 19 April 2006

So I have started seeing dead people again... Geez, I don't like them to speak to me... It's really distrubing when I have to focus on what I have to do here in this office but I will blog about it some other time...It was gloomy earlier this morning. It was Yellow Sand Phenomenon. It has arrived here in Tokyo, too. The yellow sand phenomenon is caused by the sand coming from desserts in China, the Yellow River river, and the sand is picked up by strong winds and travels more than 1000 miles.... Due to that, the sky gets a little brown or yellowish here in Tokyo, too. Thankfully, Tokyo is in the eastern part of Japan which is further to China than the western parts of Japan. So it's not as bad as it is in the west. The scariest part is that the air pollution is really severe over there in China due to rapid civilization recently so the yellow sand travelling from there bring some chemical substances that could be the cause of asthma according to the article I read... This sand is imported without custom duties even though it's from China. Fantabulously, it cleared up in the late afternoon though. By the way, I hadn't worn anything fabulous for awhile but I had to today due to this fantastic expats 08:54 PM Blah Blah Blah | Permalink | Comments (20) | (0)

Well if this is the yellow sand storm. then I'm not looking forward to go back to Tokyo, just yet. The weather in down under has been good but a bit wet. Hardly any pollution.... :-)
Don't you just hate being a technical translator??? :-) All those expats just cringe you heh? I know some expats who are only willing to learn the Japanese language and culture... they are a few good ones out there!
Have a good week ahead!

What I could see of the dog looks cute!
Too bad it was a sucky meeting, but, at least you were able to wear something fantabulous!!!
Please post more about the dead people too! :)

It sounds like the Yellow Sand Phenomenon is pretty cool. I laughed at your comment about the sand being imported without customs duties. If I was you I would report it to Japanese customs, I am sure they have a reward program for turning in violations LOL.

What fantabulous suit were you wearing!

Dead people = corporate workers you have to deal with at work and who are so boring they might as well be dead and are so boring they almost make you dead with listening to them... Is that what you mean by dead people? :)
So there's a big huge blow job in parts of china and the, ah, "dust" is winding up in Japan and Korea. Sounds like gritty, cross border sex :) Just don't swallow with all those bad chemicals involved.
Cute dog.

So cute of you to be calling the dog Bitch. :-)
This Yellow Sand Phenomenon is something new to me. I hope you don't need to wear these (gas)masks over your faces. That would be such travesty to even the most dapper of suits!
Dead People? Like the "guy" you saw when you were doing the no. 2 months ago? Geeez...

I'm sorry the dog is a bitch. She's cute, though!

Shigeki, you don't just say, " I see dead people" and leave us hanging. NOW that's interesting!! I know what people are thinking and feeling and have learned to live with it. But dead people.... I wouldn't like that. Elaborate please.
Dogs are very sensitive and she probably knows you don't like her. But if it helps, " He who lies down with dogs gets up with fleas". :-D

Posted by: naomi at April 20, 2006 01:06 PM
Well, you still liked your parent's dog enough to take a picture of her...and she DID lick you awake from your park bench when you passed out near your parent's place after a drinking binge a few months ago, remember? She likes you:P
Bummer on the dead people thingie man. Does this mean you never watch scary movies? Hmmm come to think of it I almost never hear of you going to watch movies at all. Why is that?

Oh bitches, fab suits, expats, dead people & yellow sand! Thats a cool post if I've ever seen one! Now, why is is listed under blah blah blah? Hmph! I'd think its better than that!

Hmmm... you're pretty spot on... she really is a bitch!
Like everyone else, I'm dying to hear more of dead people. Nice blog you got here!

Hi, S-chama! It was very sweet of you to call and check-in on me during my Tokyo visit. I would have invited you to El Torito, but then again, you don't like Mexican food. The tostada was yummy, but my quatro berry frozen drink tasted like they forgot to put the tequila in it!!!!!!
The people in Shimane are always complaining about the yellow sand after our frequent rain storms--it makes their cars look super dirty. They'd be right at home with the cars in the US, no? Hee hee hee

dog needs some spanking, eh?
Posted by: Kiss My Mike at April 21, 2006 01:32 PM
She looks all innocent and sweet in the picture, if only she had paid Shigeki any mind, we would have seen her. I like her fur or whatever, would make a nice jacket hehe Calling her a bitch, suits her I guess. Being a female dog and everything. You made it sound kawaii!! Could use that term for you, right??
Hmmm, now that explains why my car gets all sandy colored. I'm pretty close to bodies of water but I really didn't think sands would be all over the place like that.

HI Ian,
Can you ask your company to let you stay there forever and not come back? It sounds like a better plan to me :-) Well, I get paid for what I have to do so I am not disappointed or anything. :-) Unfortunately, all of the expats at work have been here more than two years and don't say anything in Japanese... sad. You have a great weekend!
Hi T. Kevin,
Um... ever since I was young, I've been seeing dead people from time to time. They are very friendly so they always want to have a chat with me. That's fine by me however it's bothering when I have to focus on what I have to do at work at night... You have a great weekend!
Hi Hanuman,
Yeah, that dog could be cute in the photo but she doesn't behave cute to me... I will surely blog about dead people I've been dealing with recently but I think I will do that this weekend since I would like to sound upright at the moment. :-) You have a great weekend!
Hi Cesar,
Is it? It used to be kinda cool back in the old days but it's all chemical substances right now so it's kinda bothering. Your car gets yellowish. So is your laundry if you hang your clothes outside. But I think it's gone. :-) You have a great weekend!
Hi Paul,
I was wearing Prada Suit if you ever happen to care. :-) It was fantabulous but I was too afraid to eat pasta when I had that on. :-) You have a great weekend!
Hi Steven,
hahaha. Those dead people. That could have ben interesting actually but they were really dead people. Some tell me I am having a imainery disorder or something but hey. :-) You are a funny canadian man, dude. I'd love to be in your brain for a while and see how it functions. :-) You have a great weekend.
Hi Mark,
hahaha. Well, she is THE bitch for sure. That's why. Oh, it's not as brutal as it is over there in China. we just get bothered by brownish/yellowish thingy for five days or so but I think it's gone already. :-) Yup, the guy I saw awhile back. that guy keeps bothering me.... You have a great weekend!
Hi Goblinbox,
Well, she could have been cute to me if she weren't bithcy. :-) You have a great weekend!
Hi Tiptup,
She does? right? that's the worst part. I guess bitches are always cute and good looking. :-) You have a great weekend!
Hi Maggie,
You know I try not to let you guys scroll the Internet browser as it could be lengthy. So I always try to make my post without having to scroll". :-) But I will elaborate it more in the following post or so. :-) Stay tuned. Yup, that's right. she does know I don't like her but I think she is very smart. She knows how to control guys. :-) damn her. You have a great weekend!
Hey Raph,
I tried to look up what "DDR" means. But I came up with "East Germany".... What does it mean? You have a great weekend!
Hi Naomi,
Yeah, I see dead people but it's so much better that you don't get to see them as they can be VERY bothering once in a while. So you are not boring at all. Believe you me. :-) You have a great weekend!
HI Will,
Well, I didn't have any other thingies to take a photo of on that day. :-) And I found it very funny she never looks at me while I take a photo of her so I thought I'd upload that. Well, I do watch funny ridiculous scary movies but then I don't get to watch movies a lot. Because 1. I don't have a lot of time in my private life. 2. The movies are freakishly expensive here!...3. I don't own a TV.... huh.. YOu have a great weekend.
Hi AJ,
Oh yeah, bitches. I love bitches because they are cool even though they are hateful. :-) Is it a cool post? really? huh... I don't find it cool at all. Because I saw it as another "blah blah blah". :-) But thanks! You have a great weekend!
HI GaijinGIrl,
I hope you had a great time in Tokyo. I am sorry that western part of Japan gets more yellow sand during this season. But the good news is it only lasts for about 5 days according to the article I read? You have a great weekend!
HI Kiss My Mike,
Oh yeah. she definitely does but I don't do that because I am afraid of her. :-) You have a great weekend!
Hi Kris,
I know she does look alright in that photo. Thta's the worst part of bitches. They look cool but they are not. :-) Yup, you used that term very well. Thankee. :-) I ohpe your car isn't super dirty like my car... Geez, I really need to have it washed but I am lazy. :-0 You have a great weekend!
