A little tongue action going on...
Mon, 17 April 2006
Sorry, it's another travel journal. I know it's getting less exciting but this is all about "non-exciting scribbles" here on this blog. Anyway, It's another week. It's lovely. It's getting more Spring than ever here in Tokyo. But I had to go to somewhere chilly and cold. But I wasn't sad like last time. :-) I love going up there. :-) Anyway, I hope your week goes pretty good! You have a fantabulous day!!10:55 PM Travel | Permalink | Comments (13) | (0)

Woo-Hoo! First in line to comment!
You are so funny about the not-cute groom!
But you can keep the ox tongue! Yuck!
I'm glad that you're safe and sound back in Tokyo! :)

i love ox tongue, especially in a cream of mushroom sauce. it's so tender!!
but uni is so nasty! i've tried it a few times here in toronto and it tastes like raw egg mixed with chalk. :S
how often do you go on these business trips in a month? what do you do when you go to them?

Shigeki, darling. I think you meant "bun" you wrote "bum". That is a Freudian slip for sure.

I think I preferred him seeing bum :P

I love your little travel galleries. I learn so much about Japan! How do you do those little picture galleries on your page? What software are you using? Flash?

Oh, I was born near Sendai in Ishinomaki, though my birth mother was from Tokyo (long story), and when I was adopted, my parents lived in the Shoto section of Tokyo before moving to NY.
I was wondering where the title came from. Looks good-- so many poeple are freaked by things like liver, tongue, etc, but unless someone is vegetarian, I don't see why.
And um, you meant to say 'bun, right? ;-)

Hmmmmm. Methinks I have to go up to Sendai and get a little tongue action myself... ;-p Can't wait to get to Tokyo...just 36 more hours. Can I at least bring you a nice takeout dinner?! I can wait outside your building with a doggie bag!Don't work so hard!!!!!!! *Muwah*

I think we need more pictures of the local men when you go visit -- just to back up what I know are your very accurate descriptions!
Those really are hot and sexy trains. I love them. Train service in Canada is a sad, out dated joke.
Happy Monday!

LOL, you had me on that one. I definitely wasn't expecting that kind of tongue action. :-) Have a great week!

The grilled toungue sounds very interesting. Have you ever had the Mexican tounque tacos? They are not grilled but they are very good. With onion, cilantro, tomatoes, salsa, all wrapped in a tortilla....I am getting hungry.

*geh* goma tamago sounds so icky. Of course, I'm not a big fan of sesame or anything that resembles eggs (except maybe Cadbury Creme Eggs). There's a place in Fukuoka-ken that is famous for goma shochu. YUCK!
Anyway, back when I ate meat, I loved having a little tongue every now and again.
*smooches*

beef tongue reminds me of what mom used to do once in a while. she'd boil the tongue in some water and herbs of some sort, and then peel off the taste bud part and slice it for sandwiches. let's just say i was less than whelmed :P
i love uni. we get it in sushi once in a while. however, commercially prepared sushi in restaurants is incredibly expensive so i'm not often able to indulge. but when i am, woe betide anyone who tries to get between me and my uni. :)

Hi Hanuman,
hahaha. I am so glad you did comment first :-) Yup, it was a short trip but it was an okay biz trip. :-) well, he was really non-cute. It was a sad moment he wasn't looking handsome. huh... You have a great day!
Hi Raph,
Ox tongue in a cream of mushroom sauce sound really really great. :-) But I've never tasted it with a western flavor actually. I don't know how often I have to go on domestic biz trips because I go when some system is down... That's the sad part of being a computer geek. I am glad I am single. :-) You have a good day!
Hi Mark,
Yeah, I made a mistake on that one. Thanks for pointing that out. You know I am always thinking of something else. :-) You have a great day!
Hi Paul,
hahaha... I love bum. Very much. :-) You have a great day!
Hi T. Kevin,
Thanks very much. Well, i am pretty sure these are not important parts to know about Japan but I am glad you find them interesting. Yup, these are created by Flash as well. :-) You have a great day!
Hi Fashmagslag,
I've never been to Ishinomaki but I hear they got great fish there. :-) Really? so many people are freaked by tongue? that's so wrong. Tongue is awesome in many different situations. :-) You have a great day!
Hi GaijinGirl,
Yup, Sendai is pretty awesome. But Sapporo is better. :-) Have a safe trip to Tokyo. Well, my dinner time varies so your thought counts. Thanks. yOu have a great day!
Hi Steven,
You know I wish I could take photos of those guys but how do you do that without looking weird or strange? huh... I have never taken any train when I went to Canada so I don't know about it. But I am happy with our transportation systems. :-) Good day!
Hi Maggie,
really? Well, it was definitely a tongue action, wasn't it? ;-) It was so yummy and hot! You have a great day!
Hi Cesar,
OH yeah, it was very good indeedy. I hope you could get some over there :-) I have never had any Mexican tongue (oops) tacos. :-) You know I wish I were a big fan of Mexican food but I can only have it when I am really fine. Gotta try that! You have a great day!
HI Enviroboq, (hahaha, spelling)
Really? I like sesame so much! Sesame coockies, sesame paste, sesame everything. :-) But I don't think I'd love to try Goma Shochu.... You still enjoy tongue in a different situation, no? :-) You have a great day!
Hi Naomi,
ew, peel off the taste bud???? oh NO! I am glad I didn't have to see that when I went to the grilled place yesterday! I am surprised you were able to eat it though... You do love Uni? That's great to hear. :-) Uni rules! :-) You have a great day!
