just some notes..

First of all, thank you for leaving me warm nice comments. You guys rock! I am over the moon. ;) Anyway, this is my new VAIO as I destroyed the old one. I could live without this but I'd love to take a light notebook computer when I am on the road. My iBook is kinda heavy...
1. I have to renew my passport as I destroyed it last month. So I took a photo of mine in this ID photo booth. Everything is computrized and it even gives me chances to retake the photo. The last take was least pretty. So I was going to try it again for the 4th time. It turns out I could only do it three times... Least pretty on my passport for 5 years? or 700 Yen = U.S. $6 = 5 Euros more? No brainer. Of course, I took the latter option.
2.It was rather chilly today but this supervisor of mine bought us ice lollies. But I refused to have one of these. It's not because it was cold today. However I eat it, the way I eat it looks very naughty... I'd rather have a different kind if you know what I mean...
3.Today, for the first time, I understand why there are batting cages on this planet. They help me not become a murder. I am very thankful whoever invented them.
4.When a friend talked to me about the three second rule which is if the food is on the floor less than three seconds, you can eat it, I went "ew". But it occurred to me I'd followed the same rule before in my own apartment. FYI, I take shoes off when I am there...
You have a fantabulous day!

Hard to concentrate to type a comment -- I'm thinking too much about sharing a hard "ice lollie" with you :)

I had a VAIO once, but gave it up for my Mac. I miss my VAIO but not Windows.

Fantabulousness back at you :)

At least you had a better day than yesterday! have fun matey!

I swear by my iBook G4 for the time being until it dies a slow death or when I decide to upgrade to a PowerBook! :-) which I hope will be sometime next year! Which is a good time to get a new iPod as well...

I'm so glad you're over the moon now after yesterday's episode, so much that you got me beaming with a big smile when I read that bit about the ice lollies, and I imagined you doing naughty gestures to it. Haha! You're a certified fantabulous guy when you went for the re-take of your passport photo, I would have done the same. :-) Stay happy!

Glad to see that you are feeling better!

Hard ice lollies? I guess having something nice to put in your mouth is a good thing. And as for the three second rule... I've used that once or twice before in my home. But not in a public place, it would be more like a nanosecond rule with all the germs from other people. :P

My passport picture is horrible but I decided not to re-take the picture (I was 18 and not so gay back then). I have to get it renewed this month so before I go take the picture I am going to make sure I look HOT!. :)

I am laghing hard about the ice lollie. I can just see you trying to eat it in front of your co-workers. I am sure they would really enjoy it :)

Can I have one of the bad photos? ; D Or did you throw them away in the bin near the machine? Maybe one of those crazy "Amelie" character type people have created a story about your life with the unfabulous Shigeki. Are Japanese passports only good for 5 years? Or do you chose the 5 year over the 10 year version? I think when my passport needs renewing in 2010, I'm gonna have to go to Bangkok and have an aesthetic vacation to look even younger and more fab than my current passport photo from 2000...hee hee hee.

I agree, ice lollies are a poor substitute for the real thing! ;)

Funny about the 3 second rule. In the USA it's 5 seconds! I wonder why there is a time difference......

i, for one, wouldn't want to re-take passport pictures. I mean, i want it to be as candid as possible! i remember when i went to beijing, the customs person saw my passport picture and went, "my god, he look so old in there." I flinched but a little. hahahahah....

anyway, i would love to share a ice lolly with you too shigeki. *air kisses*

btw, i didn't get to read the below post earlier and here's a *MAJOR HUG* go get another test done after the window period (i worked around and with HIV people before), shigeki. it's safer to double confirm alright. be strong dear.

Ooh can you show me how you eat your ice lollies? I might not have any with me but i'm sure I can find a substitute somewhere on my person...now that MAS is in talks to join Skyteam!

Your vaio looks lovely! Is it in lavender or something? Very gay.

My passport photo looks good but that's because one of my friends took about 50 photos of me with a digital camera and then I chose one and had it printed on the right type of paper and size.

That's a cool laptop! I have a Vaio too but it's getting old now and feels quite big compared to newer models.

GB

How can a man have more than one laptop!? :O

Paul

i don't have a passport. your boss sounds like a reasonably nice person to buy a treat for everyone. i wish i had a laptop, especially for classes because i can type a whole lot faster than i can write, even when i have to go back and delete/replace. i don't have a passport. i wonder if i should get one. it's not like i'm going anywhere. i hope your next trip is a wonderful adventure of fun.

Hi Steven,

hahaha. Well, for some reason, I cannot let anybody see me eating one of those lollies. It's too private. :) Well, VAIOs aren't good as they used to be unfortunately. Good move that you went for a mac instead! Really. I love VAIOs still. But I love Macs as well. :-) You have a fantabulous day!

HI Ian,

My iBook G4 which I bought last year isn't bad at all. I love it but I don't think i can do anything high profile on this thingy. But I just wanted to see what Mac would look like. :) I hope Intel Chip's iBook comes out pretty soon. Then, I will ditch this and buy the new iBook. :-) have a wonderful day!

Hi Mark,

Well, I can't help it. But I don't think I am gonna ever let anybody see me doing it at all. :-) It would be too embarrassing. Yeah, I am glad I paid another round, otherwise, I can easily destroy my passport again which I don't plan to do. :-) You have a great day!

Hi SeekerOnos,

Thanks very much. Yeah, hard thick yet juicy ....okay, i am still talking about ice lollies, right? :-) I don't think I'd apply any rules when it happened in a public place. :-) I mean you don't know where people have been. ooohhhh scary. You have a pleasant day!

Hi Cesar,

Oh, 18 years old. Well, your skintone was a lot more fabulous than it is, right? So I guess it's okay to look dumb. :-) Make sure you look pretty nice. :-) Good luck to ya. Well, I go crazy if somebody hands me one of those. The way I eat it is very xrated.... :) You have a gorgeous day!

Hi GaijinGirl,

hahaha. I already shredded them. Well, we have two options 5 years or 10 years. But I went for 5 years as they will introduce IC chip embedded passport sometime this year. I don't wanna be outdated. :-) I guess I will be 35 when I renew next time. Then, I can go for 10 years instead of 5 years. :-) You have a great day!

Hi Hanuman,

Oh yeah, real things are better than anything fake. :-) Not that a person who invented ice lollies thought of that anyway. Really? why are we 2 seconds faster? I guess we are all in a hurry all the time. huh... interesting. You have a fantabulous day!

Hi Ash,

hahaha. Well, I just would like to look decent. That's all. If I looked pretty, that would be a huge bonus. But I guess I look okay in the new passport. :-) Well, because I took this 4th new generation HIV test, the accuracy is 99% and I am out of that window period for that test anyway. I am happy. :-) But I do it three times a year so. :-) You have a wonderful day!

Hi Will,

hahaha. Well, I could but I'd rather show you in person if i had to do it for you. :-) Oh, Malaysian Airlines are discussing? that's great. I hope Air France won't reject Malaysian Airlines this time then. Then, I can fly to Malaysia. :-) Well, it's kinda purple but what can I say? I am gay anyway. Good day!

Hi GayBoyDiary,

hahaha 50 photos? Wow. That's a lot. I wish I could do that but I didn't have time so I had to do it in the photo booth instead. But I look decent this time. :-) computers are renewed in such a short time!!! my Vaio will get old quickly for sure.... You have a marvelous day!

Hi Paul,

Well, I have one laptop that was given from my work in case I need to work from my home (which is horrible.) I have an iBook. Then, I have this VAIO for a trip primarily. :-) But I do have this kick-ass brand new server. After all, I am a computer geek.....You have a wonderful day!

Hi Naomi,

You don't? What if you won a lottery or something? You should definitely get one for yourself for unexpected foreign trips that might happen anytime soon. I hope my next trip will be great, too. But I am not sure where I am going next. huh.. You have a good day!

Hi Shigeki, I normally vary the 3-second rule depending on how sticky the food is! If it is sticky and could pick up hairs and fluff and crappy stuff, then I will leave it, I don't really want to eat other people's pubes! But otherwise if I'm at home it might be ok for a couple of seconds on the floor!! If I'm out then I just won't touch anything on the floor, it's not worth it. Cool Vaio by the way! I'm still using my iBook G3, which must be 4 years old now. It works ok, but I do need to buy a new computer soon because there's some things my little iBook can't do, and I've completely run out of space on the hard drive :-(

We call it the 5 second rule here. We learn it as a kid. 3 seconds is being too conservative :-)

Wow! This could be one particular of the most beneficial blogs We've ever arrive across on this subject. Actually Great. I am also an expert in this topic therefore I can understand your hard work.

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

I've been absent for some time, but now I remember why I used to love this website. Thanks , Iˇ¦ll try and check back more frequently. How frequently you update your web site?

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he just bought me lunch as I found it for him smile Therefore let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!

As I site possessor I believe the content matter here is rattling magnificent , appreciate it for your hard work. You should keep it up forever! Good Luck.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

I have recently started a site, the info you offer on this website has helped me greatly. Thanks for all of your time & work.

I am so happy to read this. This is the kind of manual that needs to be given and not the accidental misinformation that is at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this best doc.

If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

Hiya, I'm really glad I have found this info. Nowadays bloggers publish only about gossips and internet and this is really annoying. A good web site with interesting content, that is what I need. Thank you for keeping this site, I will be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Can not find it.

Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research on this. Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
