Hello. I am at the airport waiting for the flight. It's been short but I really enjoyed my stay in Hawaii. It was fantabulous. If I stayed here longer, I'd go broke. :-) It's so great that Japanese is very much spoken in a lot of places on Oahu. (I am sure Big Island has some Japanese community as well) When we walked from the club last night, I was approached by a lady hooker on Kuhio Ave. I am glad I looked straight to her. :-) When I went shopping, the store person asked me if I have lived in the States. I told him "10 years ago". He said I don't look 30 years old at all. Should I be happy or sad? hmmm... Anyway, off to the next destination. I wish you a happy weekend! Aloha!
Great photos! particularly those of the hot guys! ;-) I'd love to write more but I hae to go for a shower! My shower has a detachable head, before you ask ;o) have a great flight back! GB
I'm no ornithologist but I think the bird you captured on film was a Red-Whiskered Bulbul. They also have a Japanese White Eye in Honolulu, it was introduced to Oahu in 1929 from Japan.
P.S. I couldn't believe that you had a picture of my MOST favorite hot sauce in living color!! Way to go dude! Try a "little" bit on KD sometime, mmmmmmmm.
Shigeki-chama...if I'd only known you love Sriracha sauce--I would have brought you the king sized bottle back from Bangkok!!!!!! I agree with you about Japanese beer. What's #1 on your list? The Kirin I had the other night was pretty tasty! I had Asahi Super Dry last night at my former vice principal's place, along with delicious take out sushi...I guess that's why I live in Japan--Japanese food anywhere else just doesn't compare or is waaaaay too expensive!
Good photos! Now I have to plan to visit Honolulu again and make it happen this time!
As for Japanese food, I have been here for 4 months now, well they are simply devine and delicious and don't really missed any home food at all :-)
I finally got my leave approved and I'm going to go in two weeks time! :-) It's going to be a mixture of business and pleasure! So be it....
Taking fab holidays to faraway places? You are so F*cking Cool!!! I wished I went too!! And who is this friend of yours? Oh of all horribly crappy times to be sick and miss reading ur blog!
You be a fantabulous little boy ok?
Oh, I don't like shower heads attached to the wall either- I love my German Grohe brand detachable one. You know, if you bring pliers with you, you could bring along a detachable shower head, use it while you are in the hotel, and then before checking out, put the other one back on....but that may be too much trouble ;)
I like that chili sauce too, though I like the sambal kind better- it's much hotter. I saw it in a market in Yokohama Chinatown that sold Chinese and South East Asian foods, sorry I can't remember what the store was called
You are definitely right about that sauce. That's my constant companion when I was in France. Too bad we dont have it here in KL as well. ;(
HI GayBoyDiary,
Thanks very much. I wonder if you ever broadcasted your showering time. :-) I am glad you have a detachable head. It's always nice to have that. I stayed at my friend's in Seattle and he had one. I am happy. You have a great weekend!
Hi Maggie,
Wow, thanks for the info! You are brilliantly smart. You know how to take care of teeth and you know about birds in Hawaii yet you are not in Hawaii. :-) I loooove that sauce. I am absolutely going to get some when I have more time. :-) Have a great weekend!
Hi GaijinGirl,
Do they have that in Thailand as well? But the usual bottle is pretty much fine with me. I am going to get one later. :-) you know what goes great with that sauce? Pot stickers (Gyoza). Really. And Yakisoba. :-) (Americans call it Yakiso-be. hahaha) Oh my god, I am getting hungry! You have a fantabulous weekend!
HI Ian,
Thanks very much. I am not a photographer so I have no idea what I am doing with the camera. huh... Yes, Honolulu is quite nice. You should treat yourself :-) Yay for your vacation approval. Where to? How long are you gonna stay in Japan by the way? You have a fantabulous weekend!
Hi AJ,
Well, I am not so fucking cool. I just wanted to be away from work for awhile. I just couldn't take that anymore. It was very very stressful. However, I am here in the States not thinking about it. I am so happy. :-) FYI, I am not a fantabulous "little" boy. I am above the average in that department. oops. TMI. :-) I hope you are feeling well. Good day!
Hi Fashmagslag,
I don't think a lot of people do like the fixed ones. :-) Thanks for the suggestion but packing a shower heac? hmmm... that's kinda not what I would do. I am lazy. But your idea is totally good when it comes to biz trip. I will think about that next time. I didn't know you saw it in Yokohama. But then, Yokohama Chinatown is far... :-( I am hoping I can get some in Okubo where asian communities are. :-) Have a fantabulous weekend!
Hi Ca va pas la tete,
You don't have that in KL either? Pitty! We should start import business in Asia. :-) And we can export something in return. :-) You have a fantabulous weekend!
Ah, Honolulu. Isn't it cute that guys from cold countries wanna go there while guys like us over here wouldn't dream of that? I'd rather go up north somewhere colder!
paul
Wow, and I thought you'd be going back to Japan already. So where are you headed off next? I guess it's for all of us to find out. Enjoy the rest of your vacation! Detachable shower heads are the way to go, but isn't it as convenient washing your ass and crotch with a fixed one? Just the same, thoughts of a showering Shigeki is a good weekend reliever for stressed-out guys like me. :-)
Shigeki- I am so jealous. I have never been to hawaii. That is great you can pass for a straight guy to hookers (as long as they don't read your blog :-) Have a wonderful weekend. -gregg
shigeki- couple more comments: 1) U.S. made beer really sucks. I prefer Asian beers like Sapporo, Asahi, Tsing Tao, or Singa ha. Indian beers are also good. There are also a lot of microbreweries around here that make excellent beers, but you can't get them outside the region. 2) College students usually go to places like Cancun over spring break cuz it is cheap. 3) I don't like shower heads that aren't attached to the wall. I want the water to rain down on me. I don't need a removeable shower head to wash my ass ;-) -gregg
Shigeki, I have this strange image stuck in my head now of you in the shower with your detachable shower head, washing your ass... somehow mingled with the scene from Ferri Beuller's Day offf of Matthew Broderick in the shower with his detachable shower head...
Oh dear.
Glad you had fun and were not eaten by a shark (wasn't it nice of me not to bring that up until you were leaving?). Safe trip back!
TK
Wow! This could be one particular of the most helpful blogs We've ever arrive across on this subject. Actually Wonderful. I'm also an expert in this topic so I can understand your effort.
I am very happy to read this. This is the kind of manual that needs to be given and not the accidental misinformation that's at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this best doc.
If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.
I havenˇ¦t checked in here for some time because I thought it was getting boring, but the last several posts are great quality so I guess Iˇ¦ll add you back to my daily bloglist. You deserve it my friend :)
I was just looking for this information for some time. After six hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your site. I wonder what's the lack of Google strategy that do not rank this kind of informative web sites in top of the list. Usually the top web sites are full of garbage.
Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I thGood ˇV I should definitely pronounce, impressed with your website. I had no trouble navigating through all the tabs and related info ended up being truly simple to do to access. I recently found what I hoped for before you know it in the least. Reasonably unusual. Is likely to appreciate it for those who add forums or something, site theme . a tones way for your customer to communicate. Excellent task..
The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.
I have recently started a website, the information you provide on this web site has helped me tremendously. Thanks for all of your time & work.
