I was going to go snowboarding everyday I am here according to the plan I made. I even shipped my equipment to my friend's before I left. But I don't feel like it because I have this terrible blister after running at the gym earlier this week. And it's kinda far. Instead, I am here in the downtown area and doing nothing major. Just reading a book and watching people walk by. But I cannot do these when I am working so I am happy. :-) You have a great day!
Doing nothing does not get enough respect! Enjoy.
I was hitching a ride in New Zealand once and the women asked me to drive thier car. They let me drive for miles on the wrong side of the road, without saying anything. I realized my error when we finally came upon a car going in the opposite direction. I asked them why they didn't point it out and they said they didn't want to be rude.
Fantabulousness to you and your holiday!!
Shigeki- I have the same problem every time I vist the Virgin Islands. It's even worse 'cuz they drive left side drive cars in the left lanes. The car screams out to me that I should be driving on the right, but I know better. -gregg
I think my housemate had one of those phones a while back, is it the one that has loads of flashing lights and makes strange sounds?! You craxy young thing ;-p Enjoy the rest of your relaxing. That's sometimes the best thing about holidays, just doing nothing in a different place. I'm jealous!
I know what you mean about "RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT." Right after getting back to the Left Coast after 3 years in Japan, my American friend and I did a roadtrip from L.A. to SF. We stopped in for "American coffee" at 7-11 (yup, brown water) at about 5:00 a.m. It was about 100 feet after I pulled out of the parking lot that I realized I was on the LEFT, LEFT, LEFT! My friend laughed hysterically while I was having a freakout (I only knew when I saw a car headed right at us). Yeah, very funny...NOT!
Trains and subways always seem more exciting when we are travelling. I'm always tempted to take photos, but I don't want the local people thinking I'm weird. I am weird anyway, so I really shouldn't care ;-p
Isn't snowboarding a butch thing for such a pretty person to do on vacation? Just kidding! Have a wonderful time cruising, um, I mean people watching. MUWAH!!!!!
Cucumber Water sounds nasty!
Thankfully, it doesn't seem to have reached the East Coast as yet!
Enjoy your fantabulous trip!!! :)
At some point, I got the impression that ONLY in America do they drive on the right-hand side of the road.
Wow! You're really committed to your excercise regime whilst your travelling huh? That's commitment with a capitol C!
As a non-driving tourist, I freak out, not with driving on the wrong lane, but with almost (ALWAYS!)getting hit by a zooming car or bus. I always tend to look left for oncoming traffic before crossing, only to realize (a lucky second early) and jump back from the beeping car coming on my right side. eeeek! Take care always, RIGHT. RIGHT. RIGHT. RIGHT. RIGHT. Don't forget!!! :-)
LOL. I 'm remembering the first time I experienced the driving on the left thingy. We were in Trinidad on vacation and I was the front passenger. (high) Not good.
The driver was flyin' and I was freaked out!. I've never been that close to the white line without a wheel in my handsl
Hi Steven,
Hitching a ride in NZ sounds very very nice. So I guess they were risking their lives to be nice to you? wow... I am speachless. :-) I am glad you didn't hit anything and were alright. :-) But I'd freak if you did that in Tokyo. :-) You have a great day!
Hi Gregg,
Left side drive cars in the left lanes. :-) Expensive cars in Japan are like that, too. :-) But I totally understand it's too far to look right. It's really difficult when you have to make a turn in the intersection. Safe driving! Have a great day!
Hi Tim,
Really? That's the one. It looks like a space aircraft and is trying to abduct me when it rings. It's really hideous if you ask me. But I didn't have a choice. Yup. Doing nothing can be very boring but surprisingly, I haven't thought about my work for awhile. It's been fantabulous. :-) Great day!
Hi GaijinGirl,
Well, I think I got bored pretty easily after the first ride. :-) So today, I am driving. I am an outsider and I don't really care about myself being an outsider so I take photos everywhere just like so many other Japanese tourists would do. :-) You have a great day!
Hi Hanuman,
I know! It tasted so horrible. I couldn't believe it. It's a new thing on the west coast? I have no idea. I am glad I ordered alcohol instead. :-) You have a great day!
Hi Mr. Brian,
I hate to break this to you but there are more countries where people drive on the right hand side. Really. :-) But in Kansas, where I was, it really doesn't matter which as there was no one around. You have a great day!
Hi Ian,
Well, I don't wanna miss working out since I am having american food here. My pants are alright still. :-) You have a great day!
HI Mark,
That's probably good that you don't drive. But my trunk of the car is just like my purse when I am shopping. :-) yup, it's pretty scary when you are used to something totally opposite. :-) I am glad you didn't get run over. :-) YOu have a great day!
Hi Maggie,
You know I realize there are a lot more speeding drivers than I expected on this planet. what's up with that? They freak me out although I don't like slow drivers, either. :-) I am glad you were safe though. :-) You have a great day!
This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
Sorry for the huge review, but I'm really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it's the right choice for you.
I would like to thnkx for the efforts you've put in writing this website. I'm hoping the same high-grade web site post from you in the upcoming also. In fact your creative writing skills has inspired me to get my own web site now. Actually the blogging is spreading its wings fast. Your write up is a great example of it.
Good website! I really love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I'm wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I've subscribed to your feed which must do the trick! Have a nice day!
Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.

I have been absent for some time, but now I remember why I used to love this website. Thank you, I will try and check back more often. How frequently you update your web site?
The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod's strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
I really like and appreciate your article. Fantastic.
Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
