some sort of telepathy indeed...

I am posting this from the train. WIN card rocks!!! I think it was the first time ever I missed blogging on a weekday.... I was super busy yesterday... ugh.... Anyway, I have a visitor from Europe. He is a security leader over there. Since I work in the same field, we got along very well. Besides, he is very cute. I am SO going to Czech next time... We had lunch and the topic was all about Internet. That was damn good geeky lunch. Then, it hit me. I already mentioned this but I cannot live without internet. Am I addicted to it? I probably am. But if I lost an internet connection, I wouldn't slash my wrist. Somehow, I had three unusual episodes through my blog in one week recently. No details, here. But let's just say I was a little surprised to find out some are not happy with me.I am guessing anonymity plays the major role. Meaning, some of us may not act on internet like they usually do in their real lives. Like I never say something filthy at work or to friends even if I do that at a filthy cruising place.... Unfortunatley(?), since close friends of mine keep visiting, I cannot be something I am not here on this blog. :) Ergo, I wanted to know more about how internet affects people psychologically. I am sure there is something special about it but I don't really know anything about it regardless of myself working as a security administrator. Before becoming too hesitant to keep blogging and terminate my blog, I decided to research a little bit on something. I ordered The Psychology of The Internet. Wow...I had never seen this coming considering I disliked General Psych in college... Now, I hope this will help me get better prepared for unpleasant interaction over internet. So here's my say for today. I want world peace.Anyway, thanks for visiting my site as always and you have a fantabulous day with Internet!

I LOVE THE INTERNET. *sigh*

U working in IT security as well? Me too.

Very dangerous to have team leads who are cute as you are bound to have indecent fantasies, esp if you have fetishes of office sex. lol

I hope that happened to you tho.

I can't live without internet too. I feel so out of place when I dont log online.

While I was in France earlier on and I dont have an internet connection at home, I paid 1.50 - 2 euro per day for 10 minutes of internet connection. Phew..

World peace is so 'miss america', shigeki-san!

Just make sure your Czech friend bathes- they aren't so fond of the old soap and water :-P

I was part of this Q&A section of our company newsletter and one question asked of me, among others, was "what I couldn't live without." You guessed it, the Internet. Whooops! Wrong answer, definitely. Good thing a memo hasn't been sent my way just yet on the Internet time I log in daily, which well, practically calculates to one whole day.

Well, you can be anyone or anything that you want to be on the Internet. The Internet's a good avenue to live out your fantasies - be of any age, be a superhero, be a damsel in distress, be a superstar. The heck with what others think! Just stay happy with what you do. And please don't even think of terminating your blog, 'cause you're the most fantabulous blogger there is! :-)

I love the Internet, but, I can stop anytime I want!

No, really!

No.....really!

Oh, who the Hell am I kidding! I would DIE!!!!!!!!! :P

You amaze me with your frankness about life! I guess internet is a good place to keep oneself anonymous. It keeps us safe and secure (just about) without giving too much information out! Just the other day I tried to imagine the real person you are in real life (I mean the physical sense!) and just can't put the two together. Maybe I don't want to know...the anonymous sense keeps the whole internet stuff interesting (up till a point!) As for others who not too happy with your blog - well that's life, screw them :-)

Tried Black Sapporo today - great beer! Thanks..... any other recommendation?

Internet effect, huh?

Well, I know I don't act exactly as I am online... in the real world, I'm much more introvert? I usually don't speak much, and that's such a let down cause most gay guys are hyper (or at least I think so)...

Then again, I'm crazy around my anime friends!

PS: Wow, you're including alot of your sketches nowadays!

You have a hot Czech security leader and you're talking about computers? Why didn't your brush up against him and learn about his hard drive?

Paul

shigeki- I would just shrivel up and die if you stopped writing your blog. I am addicted to it. ;-)

hello shigeki,

the internet is invaluable. otherwise, I wouldn't be able to tell my boss that I'll send him the stuff later and leave office before dinner. also, it cuts down on the face to face time with the boss! ^_^

as for the unpleasantness from certain people, every blog with a lot of readers gets it. it's easier to be snarky when hiding behind anonymity. don't fret about it!

thanks for the link !! ;)

Yeah, it's quite tempting to be someone different on the internet, or even just to be anonymous. I think a lot of people, especially gay people, benefit from the anonymity the internet provides, especially if for whatever reason they cannot be completely open in the 'real' world. Although I'm not a 'different' person online than I am offline, I certainly don't want my family and off-line friends to be able to find my blog, so I do try really hard not to post anything that would make me easy to find in Google, for example. But I decided in the end to post pictures of myself, as I always like to see the face of people whose blogs I read, and so I thought it was only fair to post a picture myself.

Don't stop Shigeki! You make me smile. :-) Those people who are not nice are cowardly. I cannot do without the internet either. My phone at home could be dead for days and I might not know, but my DSL?! Augh!

TK

I always thank for reading your writing. It makes me smile, laugh,or glad..
Hope you keep blogging for you and all of the people who love your blog

Hi Mush,

Why did you have to sigh? You love the internet and that's great. Nothing to sigh about, is there? :) Have a good day!

Hi alteekay,

Yes, I am working in IT Security. It's kinda geeky as what I have been dealing with lately is algorithm.... My head would explode.. :) I'd rather deal with scripting and VB.... Well, I don't have a fantasy about him or fetishes in the office. It's always nice to look at something beautiful, no? :) That's good enough for me at this point. You have a great evening!

Hi Ca va pas la tete,

Well, have you ever considered to live without internet for awhile? I have. And I actually could live without it for a week. But tons of e-mails to catch up with after the break. That wasn't really great after all.... I usually take one of my laptops with me so when I go abroad, I use a free wifi connection every once in a while:) Oh yes, but wanting world peace is something I'd like to think of. yeah. You have a pleasant evening!

Hi Fashmagslag,

Really? They do not bathe often? After I read your comment, I had to focus on sniffing his smell. I was holding him from his behind in the cage (wow, look at how inappropriate this sounds...) I think he bathes alright. :) whew. ) You have a fantastic day!

Hi Mark from Manila (since there are two Marks.)

hahaha. Well, it's not bad to be addicted to internet as long as you have life. :) I don't think this world cannot survive without Internet anyway. Don't you agree? :) so no sweat. So I can be the boyfriend of Charlie from TV Show Lost? oh wow. ;) I'd love that. I'd rather be younger but everybody would. :) I think it's too complicating to remember everything I fantasy about so I think I'd stick with me. I will keep blogging but it just crossed my mind that that could be an option, you know.. But I will continue for awhile. You have a great trip!

Hi Hanuman,

A lot of people do, too. I am not sure if I can stop anytime I want. I think my life is heavily dependent on internet unfortunately. So I think I'd die like you said. :) I totally feel for you. You have a great internet day!

Hi Ian,

Well, it's just one insight, you know. But I hope you got to know what I was trying to say in a shitty writing skill. ;) I am not sure if the internet keeps you secure. I think there is part that internet makes you ... I don't know.... more insecure than you'd like it to be. Really. I've seen that happening. Well, the "image" is a tricky part. While I was told that I seemed to come from money by one of the people I met, that was just the imaginary :) The image is very tricky indeed. :) I wouldn't screw them but I am glad to got to know them. Their e-mail messages made me become wiser, I hope... I am glad you liked Sapporo Beer, Black Label. :) Any other beer recommendation? Well, I only drink Sapporo and Yebisu... :) Good weekend!

Hi Chris,

Yes, internet psychologically affects people somehow. I just got books today. :) But I think I am going to start reading tomrorow. Well, I guess I do act exactly as I do online. But I found something funny. When I speak English, the way I speak and the way I act are a little bit different from the ones I do in japanese. Isn't that strange? Well, I think I don't take photos to post recently... I hope they are not bothering you or anything. ;) I just bring a notepad all the time. So... you have a marvelous evening!

HI Paul,

Well, he is a computer geek and I am a computer geek. What else would you think we would do? ;) His hard drive??? LOL. That was a good one, really. You have a fantastic pre-trip weekend. damn it. I am envious.

Hi Gregg,

Oh, that's so sweet of you to say that. Well, but I am not sure if my blog is that addictive. It's just non-scribbled blog. ;) I will keep blogging indeed but I will read those books and get better prepared for what would come. I hope I can keep blogging. I am trying to be hopeful. :) You have a wonderful day!

Hi Tiptup9! (did you add 9?)

Hahahaha. I'd rather personal communication over e-mail actually but I totally see your point. :-) Thanks for good support. I am very honored. :) But I will keep blogging for awhile and see how it goes. :) I think they haven't had enough calcium? Is that it? I have no idea. but i hope they don't stay angry forever. That's my hope! You have a splendid weekend!

Hi Mark from Canada,

I thank you for the link, too! good day!

HI Tim,

There was a good story that some old lady acted like a teen girl and had a naughty chat online with some money. It was damn funny. I was too worried about my identity but I decided not to care about it so much as I tend to forget how careful I should be once a lot of nasty projects launch at work... huh... Google is a great tool but then, it can be a scary one. huh.... so I am not being fair as I don't post a photo? Well, I will be fair shortly. ;) Stay tuned. Good day!

Hi Kevin,

It was just an option I came up with as I didn't want to cause a lot of problems and didn't want to piss people off while I don't do that intentionally. But that seemed to happen three times in a week! I might be doing something wrong... Anyway, I could live without phone as well. But my fabulous internet connection? no, no, no. My fabulous 1Gbit connection is too fabulous to let go. ;) You have a fantabulous weekend!

Hi Leigh,

I am very thankful for your comment. :) I will keep blogging for awhile and see how things will go. You rock! I love ya! You have a pretty day!
