How to kill time?

Thu, 12 January 2006

Please click the photo if it's hard to read. It's weird I didn't draw the profile of the face but you can still tell it's the face, can't you? Anyway, I had a great curry dinner box. Yeah, it's kinda sad compared to fantabulous dinner but I couldn't have lunch so this curry dinner box was VERY fantabulous! Don't miss lunch like I did! Really. You have a fantabulous day/night!

Shigeki-kun,
Did you have the Japanese curry or Indian curry? I love both because they both taste quite differently! I know how to make Japanese curry - the brand I normally buy is House! ;-) When I had my first curry in Japan - I thought it tasted somehow quite weird!? How come it was sweet and they gave you a big spoon to eat with the curry...
Oyasumi!

'Curry'instead of 'card'...I really laughed out..I think you are absolutely cute!

I absolutely hate meeting. In my old job I was in meetings most of the day and had to work late to get my normal work done. I didn't have to be in those meetings either. I use to count the tiles in the conference room, do work for a non profit I use to work for, or bring my laptop and do school work. The good thing is that they usually provided lunch when the meetings ran through lunch or when you did not have time to go out and eat. I do miss the food :)

Curry in Japan! I am amazed. Come over to Malaysia and all of us here will take you for a tour of the best curries around.

Shigeki-chama...I'M NOT WORTHY, I'M NOT WORTHY, I'M NOT WORTHY!!!!!! You RULE! If you're available when I'm in Yokohama, I'm definitely treating you to the restaurant of your choice!!!!!!! Big, big kisses!!!!!! Of course, this has nothing to do with your post.

What I usually do in meetings is pay close attention for the first 10-15 minutes, ask a really good question to prove that I am listening and thinking about the topic, and then I feel free to tune out all the rest! Or maybe tune in again somewhere down the line and ask another good question, just to make sure they think I've been paying attention the whole time.

Four meetings in one day is fucking absurd. I agree with you that most meetings are utterly useless.

Posted by: Mush at January 13, 2006 12:39 AM

I so hate it when I'm asked to attend meetings when the whole time, I'd just turn into a wallflower simply because the meeting didn't concern me or anything that I am doing at the moment. But if our vice president was in attendance, then it's a different story. ^_^ That hot bastard! He looks Japanese, by the way ^_^

And oh, I love curry. My mom cooks a wicked Chicken Curry dish. Would you like to come over? I am so flirting with you. Stop, Mark! Haha!

LOL @ saying curry instead of card! Are the words similar in Japanese? Or perhaps the meeting was in English?

I think meetings that you're not directly involved in are a waste of time. I think u shud be allowed to leave a meeting when there's stuff not concerning u, and only come back in when there is. I'm just glad I never have to attend any!

Yeah, meetings suck - but at least you don't actually have to work during them. You can doodle. Like you did here!

And curry...whew. You're a bigger man than I am.

I love curry... there was this one time, I bought this APPLE & Blue Berry curry packet from a Japanese Super Market..and like oh my gawd, it was the most amazing curry I ever had!! too bad, i can't find it anymore.

Lol, meetings can be so boring sometimes when you're there "for information" and not as part of the main discussion. I had a 3.5 hour meeting today, luckily I found a broken paper clip before it started so I spent most of that time making shapes with it. It was surprisingly entertaining, you should try it!!

Japanese curry.. yum yum. I have that just the other day.

Shigeki-san, my boss thinks that we are very professional if we have meetings everyday! sigh... I hate meetings with no agendas!

you know, i've never ever had japanese curry before. i've had indian curries and thai curries (which i absolutely adore!!!), but never japanese curry.

what's it like? is it coconut based?

Shigeki-san, I love the sketch of the man on your scribble.

Hi Seishi,

Japanese curry baby. Although I like Indian curry, I think I am more compatible with Japanese one obviously. :) That's great you can cook Japanese curry by yourself. I usually "Vermont" curry. I am sure people from the state of Vermont aren't familiar with it. There are some spicier/ hotter Japanese curries, too. :) You have a fantabulous weekend!

Hi Leigh,

Well, I didn't really mean it but since I skipped lunch, I was so waiting for the great dinner and it came out of it instead of the proper word... But I should stop being cute as I turned 30... huh... You have a fantastic weekend!

HI Cesar,

Are there people who adore meetings? Counting tiles in the room sounds so pathetic! I am sorry but I had to say it. :) I think I'd love to pay for my lunch if I don't have to attend any lunch. Free lunch doesn't really intrigue me. I mean why would I have to eat lunch with people whom I don't have to work? I'd rather eat lunch with a pretty guy on the same floor. :) You have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Paul,

How come you are amazed? Japanese Curry is very different but many like it. :) Though I sometimes go to this Indian restaurant owned by a gorgeous Indian guy for real curry. I like them both. :) So you should take me to a restaurant owned by a gorgeous Malaysian guy for Malaysian curry. :) I am intrigued! You have a fantabulous weekend!

Hi GaijinGirl,

A free grande americano when we get together will do. :) It's the software. Not me. But I am glad I was able to help. You know I way passed the point where I even tried to act like I was very interested in the meeting. These meetings are just useless.... I hate them... Please get me out of this misery. You have a great weekend!

Hi Mush,

Oh yeah, it's fucking absurd for sure. So, I don't like a person who tends to like setting up a meeting for just a little topic that is not really important. I could kill him/her if I wanted to. You have a pleasant weekend!

Hi Mark,

I can understand how you hate those meetings. I do, too. I wonder how hot that Japanese looking vice president would be. Obviously, there are no hot attendees in the meetings I join. That's such a waste of my time. I am invited to go to Manila for curry, too. :) I wonder how different it tastes there. :) oh, I am still talking about Curry? You have a splendid weekend!

Hi Will,

Well, the first vowel is the same but the rest is not that similar in Japanese. But then, I was way preoccupied for the dinner. That's great that you don't have to attend the meetings at all. You should be really lucky. But then, I don't think I can sit for hours and fly a plane for 300 passengers. so I guess I should bite the bullet and deal with them... huh.. You have a marvelous weekend!

Hi Kung Fu Twinkie,

Welcome to my site! I am glad you came to my blog. Another visitor from the east coast! Yay. Yes, I scribble as long as it pleases me. Well more likely, that's the only thing I could do to entertain myself. Well, to be honest, Japanese curry is so mild and not spicy in general compared to Indian but it is quite tastey. If you happen to go to a Japanese restaurant, try it. But don't try Curry Noodles. :) Have a gorgeous weekend!

Hi Wayne,

I do, too. I can understand the apple part because the curry I usually have has apple in it. But blueberry? Really? that sounds a little bit too unusual. Now I am very interested in having it. :) Too bad that they no longer sell it there. Maybe, I should find it next time and try the different one! You have a good weekend!

Hi Tim,

OH MY GOD. 3.5 hours for one meeting? I am sorry to hear that. But that's so nice that you get to be creative with just a broken paper clip. hahaha. That's so cute of you. But I wonder how entertaining it can go for 3.5 hours. I mean I'd probably throw it at the person who talks the longest. :) You have an incredible weekend!

Hi Ca va pas la tete,

Oh yes, Japanese curry is very tastey. I like it. Though I like other curries like the one you could get in Bangkok. Or the one you could get in India. :) Any curry is welcome as long as it doesn't have any weird thingies. That's so bizarre for him to think having more meetings makes him professional. that's so bad. Kill him! Good weekend!

Hi Raph,

Really? You should definitely try it. When I lived in KS, I could find a Japanese curry spices so you should be able to find it there, too. I don't know how to describe what it's like. It always comes with rice. It's very mild and not spicy like Indian. It's not coconut based. It's what based? I have no idea. Well, when I hold a party, i sometimes cook it for foreigners and they usually like it so it's not bad, is it? Yay. :) You have a eccentric weekend!

Y makes Vermont curry sometimes, it's quite nice. One pack makes enough curry to last for weeks!!
