Some of my friends don't like children as well.
They think,,like, 'a troublesome children'.
I understand their feelings,,,but I like children.(Specifically,I love babies.)
You might feel that children as angels..some day,ha-ha ;-D

I love my nieces and nephews and I really enjoy spending time with them. I actually love most children except for those that do not behave in public, and unfortunately I know a few of those. I don't blame the kids, I blame the parents for not teaching their kids better manners.
There is nothing wrong with you, some people just don't have those maternal/paternal instincts.

I will say, I love them but I don't think I ever want to have any of my own.

Children. yuck. they should neither be seen nor heard.

As one of my friends use to say when people asked her if she wanted children:

"Yes, with orange sauce."

Some children are terrible and misbehave doesn't mean that ALL children are like that. There are nice children, you know?

Imagine you were a nice kid once. How would you feel if an adult give you disparaging looks just because you're a child?

Shigeki- they don't make me nervous. I actually think they are cute and fun to spend time with, as long as they are shrieking, shrilling, throughing tantrums, etc. -gregg

Hmm, I used to dislike kids, and I was happy with the thought that "I won't ever have kids because I'm gay". But then after a while, once my friends started having kids and I became a Godfather (not the Mafia kind!), I realised that I actually do quite like kids, and it was more like I was angry because I probably wouldn't have any of my own that made me dislike them. So now I try not to be so hard on them, although they still piss me off when they make loads of noise in my direction, and I do NOT change nappies .....

I love kids, but me and my big mouth got into trouble once when I volunteered to hold a Korean baby that was being adopted in Minneapolis. There was only one adult chaperone and two babies, and the plane wasn't taking off until the other baby was held by an adult.

Of course, the one I got was the one that screamed the whole flight from L.A. to St. Paul. As I walked up and down the aisles trying to comfort it, I got so many death stares from the other passengers. "It's not mine!" I tried to explain, but screaming babies are the worst, so I could understand their anger.

Lol I don't mind children either way, as long as they're well-taught and don't disturb other people by emitting high pitched screams and bodily fluids.

In that sense, my nephews are utter monsters though. But when they say "Hi Uncle!" so cutely it's hard to say no...

However having an anxiety attack just by sitting next to a kid (who's not even doing anything!) may be taking it a bit too far tho...

There are a lot of people that are nervous around children, so I don't think too much one way or the other about people who are. If they feel that way, that's okay. There's probably a good reason for it.

I guess how I became hateful about them is because I had to sit right next to a screaming baby from Seattle to Tokyo all the way. So I totally understand what you had to deal with. I hate them. I really do. I told his parents that if he couldn't pop his ears, he should not have been flying at all or put him in a cargo. yes, I was so grumpy. Their parents looked shocked at what I said. Okay, I am not a nice person.... You have a fantastic evening!

It's very rare that you get to see well behaved children frequently, I suppose. bodily fluids are the worst!!! really. I don't think I ever get an anxiety attack for them. I just don't feel comfy when I am around them. It's subtle yet something obvious to feel about them. I don't like to be near them at all. Really... huh... You have a marvelous evening!
