Make the fancy paper re-fancy.
Sun, 11 December 2005
How's your weekend been? I hope it's been great. Mine has been shitty as usual. I had some time to kill when I generated report with the geeky app I made. So I created this. I am sure some of you already know how to do this but I thought I'd bring this up for those who are not familiar with it. :-) It's DAMN easy :-) It's not fancy but I like making it from wrapping paper. I hope your new week goes well! Ta-ta-Updated: On my way back home, it was SNOWING!!! This is the first time in Tokyo in this winter. I thought forecast people said it would be warmer this winter..... huh..

Wow, that's very .... frugal! But yes, also very good for the environment, so I fully support this initiative! Were you working on Sunday? That sucks!

Natsukashiiiiiiiii! Our 3rd grade teacher showed us how to make the same kind of bookcovers out of brown shopping bags. I think it's because in some American public schools, we don't get to keep the textbooks, and the same books have to be used year after year (which is why I still have problems writing in books--because we weren't allowed to). I liked making my own designs on the ugly brown paper.
Do you think Japanese people use bookcovers (a) to protect their privacy and not let others know what naughty books they're reading, or (b) to keep the books as new as possible so they can get more money from places like Book Off when they go to sell them back? Or (c) some other reason I don't know about?

Hi Tim,
Oh, yes. I can be so cheap some time. :-) I know it's not that effective to stop green house effect or climate changes but it's something I keep doing because I like it. :-) Yes, unfortunately, I have not had any day off for a long time..... Oh well, it won't last forever so I am good. :-) Thanks for stopping by. Good week!
Hi GaijinGirl,
You know I strongly believe Barnes and Noble people should do this with their freakish wrapping paper. Really. :-) You have a good point. I think in Japan, it's both A and B. I don't want anybody to see I am reading "How to have an hour long orgasm" book while commuting by train. :-) no, no, no. I don' t read any of that. But you see my point, right? I usually read something so literature but I still manage to cover the book. :-) Anyway, you have a great evening!

My god that's the most anal flash presentation ever!
LOL I love wrapping up stuff too! It's fabulous when you have a gift all neatly and nicely wrapped and people don't even want to open it cos it's so pretty. It's a gay thing.
But I also wince everytime someone rips open wrapping paper. I mean, come on...we spent time doing it up, you know?

I actually do go around reading books on sex and orgasms as I walk in public. No wonder I get odd looks.

Will I need tape for this? ;-)
Very cute Shigeki, but actually I already knew how to do this too. I guess I am frugal. Our mother also made us be nice to the wrapping paper when we were kids, and she saved it.
I love your Flash presentations!

I love you - you are so cute. I learned how to make these book covers in school, but I used brown paper bags. Using wrapping paper would be cute.
