Talking to humans.

Wed, 9 November 2005

I've been dealing with work stuff all the time. The last time I talked to any friend of mine in person was like last Sunday? I e-mail them on a regular basis still. But that's about it. All the people I talk to right now are all at work. I mean I literally have no life outside of the office right now. I am sure this will not last forever so there is some hope ahead of me. I could keep working in the office except when I go to the bathroom. I don't even go out for lunch lately. I have this meal replacement thingy here in the office even though I am not on a diet. This isn't great. At 4p.m. I realized, I should get some fresh air. So I went outside to stretch my legs. I took a photo of the sunset. It was absolutely a beautiful day. I almost missed the opportunity to appreciate how beautiful it was today. On my way back to the office, three guys with backpacks approached me and asked me for the direction to get to Shinjuku Station. They asked me in English with a strong French accent. Wow, how sexy... I knew they were French native speakers but I didn't try my French speaking skills on them as I would make myself look like a fool if I did. It's really weird though. I get asked for directions a lot when I walk around the office. I am easy lay to ask to? huh.... It doesn't mean I hate being asked for directions but it keeps happening frequently. On the bright side, they wouldn't ask me if I didn't look like a Tokyoite, would they?:-) Yay, I look so Tokyo native. :-) This was the only time I talked to non-work people today... but it was good as I didn't have to use any technical terms.... what a relief.. You have a fantabulous Wednesday!

Shigeki-chama--I think it's your inner glow and your aura that draw people to you. Some people just seem more approachable than others. And the way that you are always so upbeat on your blog just proves it. Positive, positive, positive=magnetism!!!!!! MUWAH!!!!

I find people what you to try and speak their language even if you say something stupid. It's the thought that counts. -gregg

I wish you didn't have to work so much!

so, you're not a Tokyo native? I thought you were ... [warning: insult to Tokyo men ahead]. When I lived in Japan, people from Tokyo had the easiest Japanese to understand. However, Tokyo men's Japanese - not so attractive. Actually, I remember it sounding a little whine-y and kind of a turn off. Now, men from Kansai - rowr. Their Japanese is totally hot. Men from Kitakyushu/Fukuoka also had sexy Japanese (but, I could be biased, since that's where I lived).

OK. Getting all hot and bothered. Must sign off. *pant*

I bet Shigeki's hot anyway, EnviroBoi-- Tokyo native or not (which he is!). Rowr!

I thought you had lunch with that cute mixed guy you met at teh Desig Fair? Or was that the one last Sunday? I sometimes go whole trips without talking to friends but at least we communicate through sms, blogs and instant messaging.

I get asked for directions quite frequently, too..I think I don't like it very much cos whenever I get asked, I can't answer well....

Hi GaijinGirl,

Thank you very much for your sweet comment. Well, I might look "too easy" to ask to? I have no idea. :-) But then, I don't look like an outsider. that's I assume a good thing. Oh yeah! Thanks for stopping by and you have a fantabulous evening!.

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately, they looked too straight to me so I guess I will pass on that. :-) I am still entitled to chose. :-) You have a fantabulous evening!

Hi Gregg,

That's actually a great approach. :-) I am sure that is very thoughtful in every place on this planet ! Have a fantabulous morning!

Hi Mush,

Thanks for your sweet comment. I wish I didn't either. Well, this company gives a lot of crap at the moment. But that's what they are. I think I will be done with this place soon. :-) You have a fantabulous morning!

Hi Enviroboi,

Okay, I am insulted. :-) kidding. That's too bad that you don't find our Japanese attractive. You see, the real Tokyoite's Japanese is called "Edo-ben" and it's really masculine and sexy. I am not sure if you find it sexy though. I am one of those Tokyo natives.... I was born in Azabu and raised there for a bit. I lived in Germany and switzerland in the mean time but I went to Shinjuku high. So I am a real Tokyo native. :-( I find Kitakyushu's Japanese too lousy like the one Yakuza speaks? My favorite dialect or the way they talk is "Kaga-ben" which is a milder version of Kansai-ben. :-) It's totally hot! really. Okay, so there you have it. I am originally from Tokyo but I hope I don't sound whiny at least. :-) You have a fantabulous weekend.

Hi AJ,

hehehe. Well, early evening aussie sounds so hot. But I'd rather to do that with the usual starbucks's guy. Oh my! I am falling in love with him. Well, I am not good at talking things over the phone. I barely talk things over the phone unless i really need to. is it weird?

Hi Will,

Thanks, sweetie. But I am not certain if I sound unattractive. That's determined by a third person, you know. huh.. But, I am proud to say I am from Tokyo. :-) Yeah, I had nice lunch with a freaky guy last Saturday. I am not really good at talking over the phone so I always stick with e-mail. :-) Well, there is no SMS here but the similar one is e-mail on cell. :-) But that's about it. huh...I feel so isolated right now. oh well. I will have a weekend this time so it's all good. :-) You have a fantabulous evening!

Leigh,

You get that too? wow, can you tell what's the cause of it? well, if I say it in that way, it sounds bad... but... :-) I am sure I will be able to find some time to go for welcome lunch or dinner at a fancy place. I will make sure of it! Have a fantabulous evening!
