100% older.

Sat, 5 November 2005

I went to work this morning to do stuff that I am supposed to complete by the end of this year. I got a text message from this queer friend if I was interested in going to "Gay night". When I was 20 years old which is obviously a million years ago, I almost went clubbing every night. But I didn't feel like it today. I said "No" to the text message and left work. God, I am less interested in going clubbing.... It's not necessarily a bad thing but I am not young and pretty any more. That's for sure. I went home and looked myself in a mirror. I didn't look fabulous so I changed into a paisley printed D&G shirt and a black Jakcet to feel fabulous for no specific reason. I had nothing planned. I walked around and grabbed late lunch pasta alone at this restaurant and went to 100% Design Tokyo . This year is the very first year that 100% Design is held in Tokyo. I accidentaly had an invitation that a friend of mine ditched. I felt a little more fabulous than I was at work. Surrounded by innovative designs and many queers (It's a design exhibition!!). I really liked one piece of funirture I saw there. While I was looking at the chair for awhile, I felt the intense gaze from the right. So I turned around a bit and located the origin of the gaze. The cute mixed race guy was DEFINITELY smiling at me. 10 meter away. Usually, I don't do anything about it but since I was wearing this "Let's go fabulous" outfit, I took courage and approached this guy and said "hello" in Japanese. He said hello back to me in English. I asked him why he was smiling at me. He pointed a finger at his corner of the mouth and said
"You have some tomato sauce" ......... I was at this most fabulous art exhibition with pasta sauce on my face ................ I thought I looked fabulous...... with the pasta sauce on me......

I stormed away with embarrassement and ran into the bathroom. I looked at myself in a mirror, and the tomato sauce was definitely on my face. I wiped it off and reset my upset feelings and tried to look fabulous again. The guy was in front of the rest room entrace and I got kinda surprised. He wanted to "talk" about the furniture I was looking at but he saw me the worst and I didn't wanna remember the pasta stained face of myself any more. So I told him I had to go. Today's lesson. "Make sure you check your face after you eat things". Somehow, he handed me his business card. I have no idea what that meant but I enjoyed the exhibition regardless of the pasta sauce beause until he pointed it out, I didn't know about it and felt fabulous anyway. Thankfully, I don't have any pasta stains on my shirt. That's a good thing... :-P Fabulous weekend!

"Somehow, he handed me his business card. I have no idea what that meant (...)"

Really? Really really?

Well, here's a guess: he wants to get in touch with you... And as salespeople don't usually follow people around to check that they have cleaned their faces properly, I guess he is interested in you as a person, not as a buyer... :-)

Good luck!

And now you're back on track! Keep things rolling, call him! Tomato sauce or no tomato sauce, you are still as fabulous as always. Paisley print! I love paisley prints! Err, okay, I'm chanting without sense. I guess I'm just excited for you. Haha!

Well, I know the Japanese give meishi all the time, but the guy was obviously hitting on you!

As for the tomato sauce, it happens to everyone. I don't spill food often, but I rememebr a date I had a while ago when I came back from the restroom at the retaurant and my fly was open.

CALL HIM!!! I mean, if he's the only person in the entire exhibition to have the courage to tell you about your pasta stain, and even was gentlemen enough to wait for you to give you his business card, I'm sure he wants so badly to lick it off you at the first place! CALL HIM DAMMIT!!!

Hi AJ,

Well, I doubt he wanted to do that. Anyhow, I am not sure if it was all good to get to meet him in the first place. :-) I will see how it goes. Anyway, you have a fantabulous week!

Hi Paul,

Yes, I did. I did call the guy. Now I am not sure if I want to call him again.... huh. You have a pleasant week!

HI Raph,

Yes, I did. I am not sure if it will ever turn out fabulous but I will see. :-) Thanks for stopping by and you have a great week!

Hi Bjørn,

You are right. He was interested in more than talking about the furniture for sure. But I really had no idea as I was so embarrassed. :-) You have a splendid week!

HI Mark,

I am not so sure if I am back on track. I mean I wanted to blow "it" off with the guy actually. that was all. :-) huh... anyway, I will see how it goes. you have a marvelous week!

Hi Jon,

Yes, I have a business card filing system back at the office, too. Business cards are essential to introduce yourself here. :-) Don't worry about it. It has happened to me.. keeping the fly open without me realizing it. :-) I hope you had some pretty pair of undies there. :-) Have a good week!

Hi Ash,

Yes, I did. I think he is truly a gentleman. I mean he doesn't make a move for something quick resolutions that I was hoping for. :-P anyway, I am not keeping my hopes up and I will just go with the flow. You have a fantabulous week!
