It's a payday today. Unlike
somebody, I don't really get a lot. It's just another payday. A half of it goes to apartment rent, groceries, parking lot fee, cell phone bills, internet, blah blah blah. The other half of it directly goes to savings. Nothing exciting. However, I got some extra money because I worked too much last month. I decided to leave work earlier (well, I had to) and picked up these
naughty mushrooms I mentioned before as I wanted to feel "luxurious" temporarily. 4
Matsutake mushrooms in a box cost 20,000 yen = US $ 173.64 = 144.72 Euros. I know they are ridiculously expensive but they are only available in autumn, and they are supposed to offer the taste of autumn. I could eat 'em all by myself but since I wanted to share these, I went to my parents'. We had a traditional autumn dinner today. They were very tastey. You see the sliced mushroom exactly looks like a circumcised male thingy. But I don't go
Hey dad, look. I am giving my head to this. or anything while I eat them. We don't really say things like that as they don't really ring the bells right away. At least, we pretend not to notice even if the shape of the mushroom reminds me (us) of something or whatever. How weird they may look, they are still the taste of autumn. It's very autumn to have these. The ones I picked up had very nice aroma. However, I had to leave my parents' right away to watch Japan Series. Tigers lost again. I think it's officially over. Damn it. I am grumpy but life goes on.... Maybe, next year.. You have a pleasant Tuesday/Wednesday!
$175 mushrooms? Wow. Are they so expensive because they're wildcrafted only, or something?
Lol price aside... the picture look awfully yummy! ;_;
I'm s shucker for mushrooms... and big ones or shiitake are my favourite! Lol its funny that you actually thought of what it looked like while you ate it though... seriously if my mind pictured it, I don't think i can even bring myself to swallow it... But of course, some friends just have to point it out whenever we have yummy mushrooms on table! >.
Anyway, don't fret because of the loss there! *hugs* Like you said... Maybe next year it will change! :D
They look good- I've only had them once, but they were delicious in a soy based stew with tofu and some seafood. I forget what it was called, like yosenabe, but fancier.
Speaking of baseball, the World Series here was a few days ago- I was walking by a bar with my friend and I said 'I wonder why it's so loud in there?' She was shocked that I didn't remember the series, but I don't follow baseball ;)
Oh my goodness, that made me laugh so hard my colleagues went clamoring what it was about. Then they saw it, too. Hahaha! Really, it's a great way to start the day with a daily dose of Shigeki genius and humor. I would love to have a taste of this rare treat, too!
OH MY GOD! It's so freaking expensive!!! It's like almost a hundred ringgit EACH. Are they really that worth it?!?!
And please. You earn a hell lot more than me okay.
And yes, they do look a bit phallic. Um. For use in emergency maybe? Or aren't they firm enough.
A mushroom walks into a bar. The bartenders says, "Get out of here. We don't serve your kind."
The mushroom replies, "Oh, c'mon ... I'm a fungi!"
Get it? Get it?
Hi Mush,
The thing is we have "daily less expensive" Matsutake Mushrooms that are imported from China, Canada, Spain..... However, they don't have strong aroma like the ones we get here in Japan. Because they are wildcrafted like you said and scarce, domestic ones are way expensive. You could get imported ones with $30 or less probably but they are not very nice..... thanks for stopping by and you have a fantabulous day.
Hi Chris,
Shiitake mushrooms are very nice. After all, I like many kinds of mushrooms among .... okay, i skip this part.... Are you sure you cannot swallow it even if you picture those with something in your head? I'd love to.:-) well, I pretty much gave up on the idea of Hanshin winning last night. Officially, Lotte destroyed Tigers tonight. That's so bizarre. But alright. I am less grumpy. :-) You have a good evening!
Hi Fashmagslag,
They were good indeed. :-) The one you had was like "Mizutaki" or Dobinmushi? huh.... the one shown in the photo is called "Dobin Mushi". Anyway, it's enough to have them once in a year so I don't think I am going to buy any of them this year any more. :-) That's alright that you don't follow baseball. But I happen to so care about the baseball here.. That's very unusual of me as I do typical gay stuff all the time. :-) You have a wonderful day!
Hi Mark,
It's pretty great to taste them regardless of the shape of those. :-( I am certain any of those things I mentioned above didn't cross my mind while I had them because I was talking with my family while I was at it. But if I was alone, I'd probably go for something naughty to consider. :-) hahaha. You have a great evening and get well prepared for your journey!
Hi Will,
I know they are very expensive..... They are really that worth? I have no idea. If you are okay with less expensive daily ones instead, they aren't probably worth it. The difference is obvious between inexpensive ones and the expensive ones. But.... hehehe. I am not that desperate to use those mushrooms. They are very very soft and my tight ass won't take them! (Oh my! Did I say that?) Have a fantastic evening!
Hi EnviroBoi,
hehehe. I had to read it twice to get it. That's brilliantly funny and smart. :-) when I hear the word "fungi", the first thing I'd come up with would be mushrooms. that's why it took me twice to read to get your joke. :-) Thanks for sharing it and you have a fantabulous day!
The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
Sorry for the huge review, but I'm really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it's the right choice for you.
I have been absent for a while, but now I remember why I used to love this site. Thank you, Iˇ¦ll try and check back more frequently. How frequently you update your website?
I would like to thank you for the efforts you have put in writing this website. I'm hoping the same high-grade website post from you in the upcoming as well. In fact your creative writing skills has encouraged me to get my own web site now. Really the blogging is spreading its wings quickly. Your write up is a good example of it.
Iˇ¦ve recently started a site, the information you offer on this site has helped me greatly. Thank you for all of your time & work.
If you're still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you'll know which is right for you.
I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
Great write-up, Iˇ¦m regular visitor of oneˇ¦s site, maintain up the nice operate, and It's going to be a regular visitor for a lengthy time.
Good site! I really love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I could be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your RSS which must do the trick! Have a nice day!

I like what you guys are up too. Such clever work and reporting! Carry on the superb works guys I have incorporated you guys to my blogroll. I think it will improve the value of my website :)
Good site! I really love how it is simple on my eyes and the data are well written. I am wondering how I might be notified whenever a new post has been made. I've subscribed to your feed which must do the trick! Have a nice day!
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass' favor.

Thanks for sharing superb informations. Your web-site is so cool. I am impressed by the details that youˇ¦ve on this website. It reveals how nicely you perceive this subject. Bookmarked this website page, will come back for more articles. You, my pal, ROCK! I found just the information I already searched all over the place and just could not come across. What a great website.

Wow! This could be one particular of the most helpful blogs We've ever arrive across on this subject. Actually Great. I'm also a specialist in this topic therefore I can understand your effort.
Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
Hiya, I'm really glad I've found this info. Today bloggers publish only about gossips and internet and this is actually irritating. A good blog with interesting content, this is what I need. Thanks for keeping this web site, I will be visiting it. Do you do newsletters? Cant find it.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like 'Mixview' that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you're listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of "neighbors" will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune "Social" is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
Between me and my husband we've owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I've settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
I was just looking for this info for a while. After six hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your site. I wonder what's the lack of Google strategy that don't rank this type of informative websites in top of the list. Usually the top websites are full of garbage.
Awesome writing style!
I love reading this blog. Keep up the good work!
Hello there, simply turned into aware of your blog thru Google, and found that it is really informative. I?m gonna watch out for brussels. I will appreciate if you continue this in future. A lot of other folks will be benefited from your writing. Cheers!
